Xmc1 balanced reference inputs

Hey guys is the reference analog inputs,
Mostly the balanced ones s cut above the other inputs?
I've got my Mcintosh MVP 851 going into the balanced and the oppo 93 into the rca and the balanced sound way better. I've got AQ king cobra rca and monoprice xlrs incase your wondering about cables

I used to have an MVP-871 and it sounded better than my OPPO so it is hard to say. I have my OPPO set up with hdmi and balanced though and the balanced is a little better in my opinion.
