I never would have thought that laserdisc was an analog format. I had to look that up and was surprised with the answer.

My great grandfather used to have one, lol. Just joking, but actually my dad used to have the RCA videodisc, i think that format tried to compete with the laserdisc and it lost the format war. Not sure tough PS. Actually i think that the video disc was even before betamax View AttachmentThe RCA video disc was actually "analog" video based on vinyl technology and used a stylus. Was awesome for its time except almost right after it was introduced to the market something called the laser disc/compact disc hit town and it was relegated instantly to the obsolete pile.

On a side note, that laser turntable setup that ELP made was an interesting product also.
