I purchased a new ECR-3 early last August. It has performed flawlessly up until recently. It makes noise when booting up a disc and quiets down some as you use it. You can't hear it with the music playing but was wondering if anyone has an idea if its just a belt noise.

I have the same issue with my ERC-3. Is it something we must simply live with?

Mine seems to be louder on start up and gets a bit quieter. It made no noise that I noticed in the beginning. I do not hear it between songs. I can only hear it when kneeling down in front of the rack and loading a CD.
