The EMP-1 was mentioned to be planned for late 2015 in some post - don´t let met dig out that post please, I don´t know where exactly I read it. Doesn´t matter anyway - my post wasn´t meant as negative as you took it. On a second look I should have written it a bit different. I really just mean "you get used to delays" and I am really still looking Forward to the Emersa. Thanks for the HDCP and 4K hint!

bolleThe first mention of Emersa was 12/8/15, but there was no timing quoted. Here's the first info I ever saw: emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/45011/emotiva-announces-lineup-class-amps?page=1The next time we heard of Emersa was at CES in early January - at which point we saw videos of Dan talking about them but no timing was mentioned. As I recall, various folks asked about the timing, but never has any commitment been made other than the typical vague references we get like "soon" and things like that. Mark

The next time we heard of Emersa was at CES in early January... various folks asked about the timing, but never has any commitment been made other than the typical vague references we get like "soon" and things like that. As frustrating as this can be to some, I am actually glad the current timing is quoted as "about 6 months out", computes to be October 2016. Why, because it wasn't clear that we were going to get an EMP-1 with all the 4K necessities earlier on. So, if by then it's got 4K, HDCP 2.2 -- and -- I sure hope HDMI 2.0a for HDR (10 at least and maybe Dolbyvision) then we're all set for a while regarding blu-ray 4k discs. TVs will be coming out with all the right stuff too, with the current line of Vizio P-series to shoot after! Also, this time frame is when we are expecting the new Oppo players. It's hard being patient, I keep reading everything that pops up in all the categories of gear, but I have no interest in constantly switching gear out every year or two.

I don't understand what makes people get so hung up on Emotiva's products release dates when even Big Dan have said before and quote "and it will be available about this time frame too." What ever that means. So just move on people.... I can say with certainty that Emotiva products will be available when they're no longer not for sale! Also that they'll be released on a day ending in 'y'.

Today was the first time I actually saw emotiva products in person. I was very impressed with the performance and looks of all the products. New speakers were really nice. To be honest the only thing that didn't sound that great were the polk audio speakers used in the cinema section in the room. Too bright for my liking. Again, very impressed with Emotiva products and will be buying some of them this year.

trinhsman Oh, believe me...I know all the history on timing. And, I really don't recall them quoting a specific timing before. So, I'm confused about the statement I quoted previously and looking for clarity. I went back and watched the video from CES, and Dan didn't quote any timing. Mark I understand what you are saying, but I am also talking about an Emo turntable that was mentioned, a new line of amazing speakers that were supposed to be out, etc. please understand, I love the Emo gear. What troubles me is lack of communication. Even something as simple as " hey, we had hoped to have X out this quarter, but XXX happened and X will be delayed for approximately X timeframe". That is all I am questioning.

That is all I am questioning. I'd be more interested in just knowing when products they've demoed or talked about are back burnered or cancelled entirely so people wouldn't hold out hope. I get that some are prototypes - but.... Stealth 88? Not gonna happen. Tubes? Who knows? Emotiva TT? Probably not. That way you'd know to not even consider waiting to purchase. Unfortunately it seemed like the more transparent Emotiva was with progress - the angrier people got.. But then again - most of that was XMC-1 related and that was over years. I only say this because some of their products are quite appealing. If they weren't - people wouldn't get so excited. I assume that everything demoed at Axpona is actually coming to market. At least I hope?

My favorite rooms were the Ryan speaker rooms, Avantgarde, Harbeth, and Joseph.

Scott No they were using towers and 4 large bookshelf surrounds. It's just a bit annoying as a big Emotiva fan that they short change themselves because they say many of their buyers are target Polk Audio buyers. Second year I said it...when you just come out of the Legacy room next door - that you need to pass to get to Emotiva and listen to the Polks...you can have all top end Mcintosh electronics, it's still not going to compare. Just so it's clear, it didn't sound terrible. It sounded quite nice - just not the high end sound you want to represent your amps and XMC-1.

Too many held them accountable that the might do's would become sure bets. So...exactly what you are complaining about is why they have moved to what now troubles you...a lack of communication. Too many people took communication about what they were working on as a commitment that it would be produced, and took comments about when they hoped to be in market as firm commitments. So, they shut up. And yet still, we get people saying they will be a year late on commitments on the Emersa when they have never...NEVER...committed to a timing. Is it any wonder they tell us less and less? Mark

The emersa line is about 6 months out from what I was told at the show today Any timeframes on the speakers being released? Any efficiency and impedance specs on the speakers? Anything on the really big towers?

I have a set for 7.1.2 and love them. Have for the past 4 years. Great speakers! Never heard anyone talk negatively about them. Lsim705s mains Lsim706 center Lsim703s wides Lsim702 surrounds 900-ls ceiling speakers for atmos Even the wife that's not into audio thinks they sound amazing recently when I installed a pair of xpa-1L mono blocks.
