Can some of the attendees take some rear pics of the speakers as well as the components? I am most interested in the speakers as I am ready to retire my ~10-yr old Paradigm monitor 7s, CC-370, and PS-1000.

And you wonder why we have had to keep things close to the vest... Can't win either way... You knew it was inevitable - Dan whining about everyone's whining. The circle is now complete.

Well, stop wearing a vest! Not that it matters now...it appears you don't even have to make a committment any more for people to accuse you of failing to meet it. Lucky you! Mark I actually feel bad now about opening that delay can, because, as I already said, I didn´t mean it as negative as you all Interpret it here. I dug for 15 minutes but couldn´t find the post I remember. Fabian, sorry that you bore the brunt of me taking issue. But, I have to say, I think that if I were Emotiva, I'd be saying "ENOUGH ALREADY! WE GET IT...WE HAD A BAD TRACK RECORD AND WE ARE TRYING TO CHANGE!!!!". In the past, they shared, perhaps, too much in the name of developing a relationship with their customer, and as a result they had to deal with people getting royally pissed and dragging them through the mud if the slightest thing changed. Then, they went into a mode in which we heard nothing at all until a product launched...which irritated a lot of people who said "Emotiva has changed...they don't love us any more, I should buy from other companies because Emotiva doesn't love me anymore!". (Who, for example, saw the new Ego DAC line coming? We knew they were likely working more DAC's, but we knew nothing about them until they hit the cart. Same deal on dealer networks and more.). Now, they have gone so far as to tell us they have 20+ products in development to launch soon and more on the drawing board, and they share news about some of them in a press release that gets out before they tell us. What did folks here do? We complained that " Emotiva has changed, they didn't tell us first...they don't love us any more. We should go elsewhere!!!!". And, to make matters worse, even though they have not shared anything about a committed timing on one part of this...people start saying they missed a committment again. Personally, I really think we need to stop out whining about this old topic. More whining will just encourage them to step further and furether away from their relationship with us. As you say, you dug 15 minutes and found no proof. OK. Fine. Then, don't make the accusation...hold the post until you check your facts more. I did more than 15 minutes searching based on you post, and I find nothing they have committed. And, sorry to single you out again, but I wanted to use the opportunity to share my opinion with others who are also doing this. I won't post again on this point unless others raise a question about what I have said. Mark

Why would anyone spend time digging for the truth about something like this? Really man, it's too much.
We go out of our way to be open and totally honest with our customers. We respect and value you all. You are our life blood and we know it.
We also want to respect you, and we don't want to over promise and under deliver.
We're not perfect, but please know we are working very hard to improve the company and the products every day.
Peace. Big Dan

Big Dan I hope you're not offended - but I can't help but read posts like this in the voice of "The Dude" (Jeff Bridges). "Dude, seriously? Really man, it's too much" Just trying to inject a little humor into the situation. I'm a big fan.

I think the access and input that Emotiva allows into its product is nothing short of amazing......they continually strive to make their products better and even are bringing more products in house......I have been in this hobby for over 20 years and can honestly say that Dan and his team are one of the most professional organizations I have ever had the pleasure to do business with......Axpona gave me the opportunity to talk with them and Some other high end vendors......try doing that with Anthem, Martin Logan, etc.....

The one thing I remember most about Emofest was that the staff love music. It's not just the gear and the technology and speakers.... Many of them are simply passionate about music. Especially Dan. His enthusiasm is infectious.

You gotta remember, man, that when you're delivering products as complicated as these, there can be a lot of ins 'n' outs, twists 'n turns, and what have ya's...man.

I do to prove certain folks who misquote you wrong. It bugs the heck out of me. You have proven to me to be a good man, deserving of my support in every way. And, I love your products and do not want to see you or your efforts to make great products disparaged. Now, can I get an early sample of an XMR-1? Mark

Lsims?? Not sounding great? Polk audios top of the line? I have a set for 7.1.2 and love them. Have for the past 4 years. Great speakers! Never heard anyone talk negatively about them. Lsim705s mains Lsim706 center Lsim703s wides Lsim702 surrounds 900-ls ceiling speakers for atmos Even the wife that's not into audio thinks they sound amazing recently when I installed a pair of xpa-1L mono blocks. Agreed. XPR 2 driving my RTi A9s and they sound very good. Coincidentally, I too must pass by my Legacy's to get to my Polks in the downstairs theater. *sarcastic grin* Scott Those Legacys are amazing. It's nothing personal with the Polks. That's why there are so many speaker brands out there. A Focal dealer owner is always ripping on my Revels. And btw, I thought those Wilsons were amazing downstairs. The thunderous bass was probably the most impressive part about the Wilsons. Revel Salon2 also had incredible bass with a huge soundstage. Sonus Faber on the 12th floor, killer speakers as well. There were lots of amazing displays. Personally if I was big Dan, I'd target Magnolia as a possible dealer if he hasn't already. For me personally, the Emersa line is the most attractive for my loft area. The speakers might be good too for a secondary system. I think Emotiva is doing great - yes the ones looking to upgrade from XPR amps and waiting for the XMR / RMC maybe disappointed but I think they know their target market better than us armchair audio boys .

Mark Hey, I think Dan said that he'll send early samples to loyal customers. Can you go back and dig for where he said that? Might take you a while... I couldn't resist. I appreciate your research to dispute the occasional statements that are just wishful thinking. Keeps people honest.
