Mine do this sometimes as well. It isn't to the point that it's driving me crazy - but I'd be curious to hear the reason as to why it's happening.

Mine do this too. Since the sound is not affected and it doesn't really distract me I can live with it. I will say though that I currently own three Gen 1's and sold two more Gen 1's and none have had this issue. Both Gen 2's I have owned have the annoying flicker

Mine are varying brightness along the scale but don't seem to flicker.

I've had this happen twice with my XPA-2 Gen 1. The first time it was a loose RCA cable coming from the preamp. It was loose on the RCA out connector. The 2nd time I contacted Emotiva. I was told to push the power button in back to off, and to take the power cable out. Then move the selector switches in the back from balanced to unbalanced several times. I then put in the power cord, and hit the switch to power on, and then turned on the amp. The dancing LEDs stopped.

I mentioned this to my son and he turned off then turned it off on the back switch to take it out of standby mode then he pressed the power on button and held it on we heard a soft click . turned it back on and its now back to normal.
He likened it to fully discharging a computers motherboard on some of his systems he builds....
