Need Cartridge Alignment help...

Does anyone know of anyone who can service/set up a Cartridge on a classic Thorens TT in the Tampa Florida Area?  I really have NO desire packing it up again and sending it 3 states away for this...Actually what I need is my cartridge professionally aligned and generally set up correctly. I just had it restored and now I have an Ortofon Cart that I have set up that I just know is not as right as it should be using the limited skillset I have.

I don't know anyone in that area, but there is a tool that you could use that would make it almost impossible not to set up your cartridge correctly, it's call the Geo-Disc Stylus alignment tool and all of the instructions are right on the disc, it looks like a record with instructions and notches, it's how I started. www.musicdirect.com/p-7295-mobile-fidelity-geo-disc-stylus-alignment-protractor.aspx Good luck man and I hope you get it sorted out, I remember the frustration starting out. I now have other tools, but wouldn't hesitate to pull it out. If that doesn't work for you do a Google search on Audio Stores in your area and most of the Highend ones will be able to do it, especially if they sell turntables. They use the same tools that I use, it's not hard but does require patience and a willingness to learn.
