In the speaker section RoryB (Emo Staff) mentioned that he had heard the new T1 tower speakers with several of the Emotiva amps, including the yet unreleased Stealth PA-1 ICEPower monoblocks. He then adds "same ICEPower module as Emersa". 150 watts into 8 ohms Quoted from follow-up posts: The PA-1 amps have no 12V trigger input (though selectable signal-sensing on/off is included) and are balanced input only (for use with the DC-1 or any preamp/processor with balanced outs); the XLR balanced input jack drives the input section of the ICEPower module directly (unbuffered), so it's good if you have some gain on tap also (a preamp or DAC with volume control and 2Vrms balanced output is recommended). And of course there's the beautiful Emersa casework that matches the other Emersa components - the PA-1 is nice-looking, but it's no Emersa. But the PA-1 is an economical way to get some ICEPower modules into your system. The PA-1 will accept an unbalanced input, via an RCA-to-TRS adapter or RCA-to-XLR "bullet" adapter.

Now that is the complete picture. Some Stealth Passive speakers. It would sound great. Can't wait to see and hear it!

I am fairly certain that Big Dan replied to my question in the thread about Axpona show that these were 150W each.

I am fairly certain that Big Dan replied to my question in the thread about Axpona show that these were 150W each. I recall reading that thread. Wasn't that the output on the multi channel amps? I could see a pair of these mono-block amps making a new home in my audio rack.

I've been looking at used amps on eBay to pair with my DC-1. I think I'll hold off! I'd love a pair of these to complement my DC-1!

If they use the same modules in the Emersa stereo amp, than they are the ICEPower ASC300 rated at 150watts @8ohms. This is the same module used in the new Peachtree nova 150 at $1,500. The Legacy Audio Powerbloc2 uses two of the 700ASC modules for 325 watts @8ohms for $1,600.
All modules stable to 2.5 ohms per ICEPower's web site.
The question I have is whats the advantage of Stealth PA-1 vs the Emersa stereo amp? Both 150@8ohm. The Emersa is $800; whats the projected price point for the PA-1?

Correct on the module - it is the same. The Emersa amps differ in that they offer trigger control and unbalanced input via a buffer PCB module that generates the balanced input needed by the ICEPower module. The PA-1 amps have no 12V trigger input (though selectable signal-sensing on/off is included) and are balanced input only (for use with the DC-1 or any preamp/processor with balanced outs); the XLR balanced input jack drives the input section of the ICEPower module directly (unbuffered), so it's good if you have some gain on tap also (a preamp or DAC with volume control and 2Vrms balanced output is recommended). Correction to the above: The PA-1 will accept an unbalanced input, via an RCA-to-TRS adapter or RCA-to-XLR "bullet" adapter. I misunderstood the input section of the ICEpower module we are using; some of the other BTL modules in the ICEpower range (ASX2 series BTLs) will only work with a balanced input.

I take it your saying it has the same TRS jack / XLR connector dual input that is on the Stealth 6 and Stealth 8. The Airmotiv speakers do not have that TRS jack that the majority of professional audio equipment have. The DC-1 does not have the tip-ring-sleeve outputs because they are unbalanced. The DC-1 has a 3 pin Balanced XLR connectors to mate with the XLR connectors on the Stealth and Airmotiv powered speakers and separate single ended RCA outputs. With RCA to TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) cables or adapters you could use the RCA single ended outputs on the DC-1 to the PA-1. Or you could use the DC-1 XLR balanced connector output to the XLR balanced connector on the PA-1. Professional audio gear with these dual use connectors allow for it all. All my gear for making music uses TRS jacks, hence Emotiva Pro.
