...Of those, 2 INPUTS AND 1 OUTPUT are HDMI 2.0a/HDCP 2.2 (which means full 18 gB / support for everything up to HDR10)... Based on that, is it safe to presume that the rear panel image is older, as it shows only one of the HDMI inputs as HDCP 2.2. The devil is, after all, in the details. OK, waiting for the specs but I guess I can't help myself: THe "Digital Inputs" jack appears to be USB 3.0 given the blue color of the socket. Can you please confirm that, as well. Also, interesting to see that there are two additional USB jacks. The Type A is clearly labeled for "Upgrade" but the micro is labeled "PC". Since there is the "Digital Audio" input, curious to see what the "PC" input is for. Interesting.

I think this will rock too. Seriously legacy video is dead. Just taking up space for nothing. HDMI is the video connection of choice, so VCRs and the like, are history. Blu-ray and streamed, and server client entertainment content is the way. Funny I see allot older CD disc changers for real cheap. You can't give these away. The streamed world has dominated, and most have migrated their libraries to computer, or other digital conveyance.
I love CD sure, but the convenience of streamed is so compelling, and running my library off my computer. So USB is the other connection you need too.

The blue USB jack on the back of the MC-700 is ONLY for the Bluetooth module. The USB jack labelled "UPDATE" is strictly for firmware updates. The mini-USB jack is the "PC DAC input" (this is the same as the USB input on most DACs; the computer sees the MC-700 as a "USB sound card"). This is the one you use to send audio from a PC or Apple computer to the MC-700 (equivalent to the "USB Stream" input on the XMC-1). (You can connect the other end of the cable to a USB 2 or USB 3 output on your computer - it really doesn't matter.) ...Of those, 2 INPUTS AND 1 OUTPUT are HDMI 2.0a/HDCP 2.2 (which means full 18 gB / support for everything up to HDR10)... One more on this topic: Does the USB Audio DAC accept and decode 192/24 audio at native rate and then pass it through to the outputs in 192/24 without down sampling? Thanks again. Hopefully much of this will be answered when the full specs are posted.

It's called DIYD/DIYD. Personally I prefer the way they are handling new products by putting up pre-order pages when the product is imminent, otherwise Dan gets ripped for "Sharing" an honest to goodness timeline which can be affected by many factors. Thus when one or more of those factors extends that timeline, the naysayers come out of the woodwork, criticisms stated and thus this would be my guess as to why Dan and Company now remain silent until the product in question is imminent.

But working since more than 1 month ago on getting a pre order page up? Yeah, right... Hair Nick always takes at least a month to get something up on the site once he post that he is working on it. Relax, this is normal.

Yet another example of why Emotiva gives us less and less information on future products. No firm date has been released. It will be here when it is ready. Chill.

But working since more than 1 month ago on getting a pre order page up? Yeah, right... So will a pre-order page make the product come any sooner? Did I say this anywhere? Nope... Hair Nick posted "working on getting the product page up for preorders" on the 27th of July. This is a Task which imho takes a few hours so I was just wondering what takes so Long here. Obviously not the creation of the page itself but I think rather a delay of the MC-700 itself - but this is pure speculation from my side. Remember this thread here was created as an intentional teaser by an employee from Emotiva - so I don´t see any Problem here, if we get teased and then wonder if the follow up is not a pre order page but big silence. Just a simple friendly "side stab" - happens all the time here on the boards. Or is Emotiva itself "forbidden territory" - at least in the opinion of some of you?

Why doesn't the Emo team give a realistic time frame of its release? Because any time we gave a date and it was late, for reasons out of our control, we wouldn't stop hearing about it. So now we wait till the products are much much closer to our HQ to put them up. It isn't just creating the page. It's finishing up product photography, getting the specs, features, and overview written by our team and sent to me. Then getting it all approved by the big boss. Building the page doesn't take much time. Getting the content for the page does.

Yes I too like the release it when it's ready. Not give guesses on times. Therefore when a product appears, we are impressed. Wow, new product. Congratulations on putting out a new product range. Looks great. Rather than where the heck is it? You said etc. Especially if there are multiple slipped dates. Emotiva looked bad imo when they kept slipping over and over. Or when they put up a coming soon and it didn't come for years. Also people save their money for a product they are ready to purchase now. So when they are holding on to the purchase and it takes way longer than expected, it's bound to upset people!
This way....much more integrity. You KNOW what you are getting. Very impressed with this move.
