thing just stopped outputting any sound. keeps saying no audio. have restarted and tried pulling all power to it also.
starts up normally as far as I can tell
sympoms:
- no sound whatsoever--powered speakers not even coming on - wont leave "direct" mode unless in tuner. if you switch to dsp/neo in tuner, it will carryover, but still no sound - not muted - tried optical and hdmi--no change - tried factory reset--no change - tried dvd, ps3, cable and same results--nothing
I have a email in to emotive, but figured I would try here
was thinking of re flashing it, but cant find the files/installer on this site
any other ideas?

It's going to be either firmware or the power supply. Reflashing it would definitely be worth trying. The firmware is too big to attach here.... e-mail me at kLevkoff@emotiva.com
and I'll send you a link to download it. thing just stopped outputting any sound. keeps saying no audio. have restarted and tried pulling all power to it also. starts up normally as far as I can tell sympoms: - no sound whatsoever--powered speakers not even coming on - wont leave "direct" mode unless in tuner. if you switch to dsp/neo in tuner, it will carryover, but still no sound - not muted - tried optical and hdmi--no change - tried factory reset--no change - tried dvd, ps3, cable and same results--nothing I have a email in to emotive, but figured I would try here was thinking of re flashing it, but cant find the files/installer on this site any other ideas?

If it's the power supply, it will have to come back here for repair. email sent. If it turns out to be power supply, do I have any options? Or its it kaput? Hello, After *almost* 10 years of *almost* fault-free service, my UMC-1 suddenly decided to not play the centre channel. it's not an amp or cable or speaker issue, as switching around the connections confirmed. seems like firmware issue/ hardware issue. I would want to reflash to confirm. unfortunately, We have moved to windows 10 and while I got the software to load on the laptop, it is not recognising the UMC-1 so I am not being able to reflash. Is there anything I need to do differently for windows 10? Or, do you have a windows 10 friendly version? and a copy of the latest firmware (in case I dont have the most current one) Keith, I will be mailing you as well. thanks

Hello, Tried “reflashing” today. But post flashing dsp I get this when I switch it on. And the PC is not recognising the connection with umc-1 Any suggestions in how to proceed?
