Why wouldnt you give Dirac a shot, if you don't like the result then switch back. You might like the result. The whole point of Dirac is to EQ so the listening position sounds good. I use a 10db boost on my dirac low end, which is too much for music, but great for movies. I optimized with MSO on a 6db boost for music which I run on preset 2 for 2.1 music.

Has anyone used Dirac with just stereo? I can see using it for 5.1 or 7.1, but simple stereo? Jim Sure - I use Dirac for everything, including stereo listening.. I'm very happy with the sound. I agree. Dirac Full is very effective for stereo and 2.1. If you are using Dirac for 5.1 or 7.1 just take a look at what your L&R front speakers and subwoofer are up to. Better yet, listen to stereo or 2.1 with your existing Dirac setup. A custom room curve can yield some very impressive results.
