Boom, I have just finished the Seahawks/post game broadcasts, plus several posts and just now have had time to carefully read your review. Many Lizards here know I'm not now nor was way back when into tube gear for many personal reasons and preferences. However, I do completely understand the attraction of many folks for tube gear and the sound. I also prefer objective reviews for the tests reports, but realize you have no test equipment. That said: I am extremely impressed with your review! It is very well written, perfectly organized and quite succinct while still being adequately complete with your explanation and evaluation of the product and its sound. Many times IMO subjective reviewers go way too far into la-la land with their excessive seemingly to me imaginary text. Your review was a well balanced presentation of product information and clear impressions about the sound. It is seriously one the of the best subjective reviews I have read. If I were in the market for a tube amp I would seriously consider the Latino/VTA ST-120 amp for further study and possible purchase due to your review. Very nice job! The Nut House has voted (2-0) to give you the very coveted 5 Nut Award for your outstanding review. Congratulations, Chuckie Now most folks here know that even a serious Nut post wouldn't be proper without at least a little humor thrown in. However, this comment below is personal and only for the Boom's eyes! Please do not read! (Boom, I have to explain that the actual original rating of your review was 4.8. However by a vote of the award committee (2-0 ) it was decided that the rating be rounded off up to 5.0 Nuts.) There were two very minor/picky deductions originally made for: #1 ..... Misspelling of the word other. #2 ..... "K.D. Lang’s voice on Sexuality ..... Hearing this song on the ST-120 was enough to stir up my single remaining hormone!" K.D. Lang, Really? Sorry Boom you silly boy, I didn't know. #3 ..... No points were deducted for the 947 millionth use of the old phrase ... And without further ado ...

I KNOW this thread is ancient as such things go.
But I'd love to hear Boom's opinon of the recent change to the chassis for the ST-70 / ST120 amps which use the SAME chassis.
More room by an inch or more in L X W and a very modern design.......
OH! it's the Same Price.....regardless.....

OK - Not only the virtues you mentioned, leonski, but also thicker gauge stainless steel - I like it!
