I bought a Denon AVR-X3200 about six months ago because I needed a new AVR with 2.0a HDMI and 2.2HDCP inputs. I have been mainly disappointed in it's performance. Short story is that it's amps power output is pathetic. I was using my XPA-200 for the front L/R speaker and the Denon for the center and surrounds. Still unsatisfactory overall sound. Bought a used Adcom four channel amp to handle the surrounds and the center channel. I can bridge two of the Adcom's four channels to create a 200W channel for the center channel and running 60W to the surround. The sound quality is almost acceptable to me now. I have started to have some decrease in my hearing at certain frequencies and on many discs I have a problem hearing some of the dialog. Especially female voices are hard for me to hear and understand. My Denon has a lot of bells and whistles that I don't need. However, I have found that the Dialog Level Adjustment a life saver. It allows you to boost just the dialog level slightly so that it stands out more and for me makes it more easy to enjoy the movie with out straining to hear what the actors are saying. It does not make the center channel louder overall just the dialog. I know that the MC700 is just started shipping, but if someone that has one or is getting one could check to see if this Dialog Level Adjustment level is included in the MC700 I would greatly appreciate it. I have tried with my Denon and also my Emotiva 8100 to adjust the volume of the center channel to make the dialog more easily understood, but when the scene in the movie changes (usually mindless mayhem movies ). I get blown out of the room. That does not happen with the Dialog Adjustment Level on my current Denon. While at it, does the XMC-1 have such a feature ? Thanks in advance for any info and feedback.
