Hey guys, I am looking to see what type of experience you guys have had with the warranty service through Emotiva.
Normally in the past I have read good things, and I was aware I had to ship my product in ahead of time if there was ever an issue so I was ready for that.
But I was having a problem with one of my channels always having static and in need of repair.
When I called the first time I was told they would call me back shortly to set up the service ticket.
I waited 3 days then called them back. I was then told they would set up the service ticket and I would get an email with the details.
I waited 3 more days, never got the email then called back.
I was told they were sorry they didn't send the email it was hectic. They would send it within the hour.
3 days later no email. I call again, told the same thing, they are sorry and they will send it within the hour. I ask approximate turn around time. And I was told 10 days after they receive it.
I ship out amplifier. And when they receive it I got another email saying they are experiencing higher than normal repair times and it would be 16-20 days.
It is already currently past that time frame and I have not heard anything else. I called today to ask about a status and they said they would email me later a status update.
The time frame wasn't really a huge deal but it was unexpected. I am just curious if this is normal or how long it normally has taken people the get their amplifier back?
They have been nice every time I spoke to them on the phone and I was never treated rudely. So really my only issue is just what is the normal time frame.
