...Am I making any sense?? Bill You are to me. HDMI is the work of the devil and sometimes even holy water doesn't fix dropouts. lol All nonsense to keep average folks from copying disks digitally when they are not the ones doing it but they sure are paying the price in usability becasue of it.

No. One just needs to verify if the issue is real. Easy to do with a 30 day return window. Of course people can be happy even with flawed products. Lots of examples in audio history but don't we want products that work as they should? For this logic to take hold, one needs reports from all users, not just those having issues, but also those that are happy. Only then can an informed decision be made as the information would then be complete. Well then, let's not debate further. Buy and return within the 30-day window. Decide for yourself if there are any real issues that affect you.

Very refreshing to hear the truth once in a while about what's underlying all of this......I've always felt the primary thrust was enhanced copyright protection. I do enjoy playing some of my older DVD's on my HD upscaling blu ray player. (SONY UHP H1) Great picture on those classics without jumping through so many hoops to get to the film. Bill
