I have an un-upgraded XMC-1. I am waiting for Wipeout Omega collection to release on PS4 this summer. It will be displaying a true 4k image @ 60FPS on my PS4 Pro. Will my XMC-1 pass the full 60FPS or only 30FPS? I know it won't pass HDR data. I have the brand new 2017 LG OLED65C7P TV. I was super bummed that new HDMI 2.0b board was delayed until "summer" from Q'1 Thank you.

Is there a way using ARC on the TV and XMC-1 to get the full lossless audio channels from the PS4 Pro back into the XMC-1 if I connect the PS4 Pro directly to the TV via HDMI?

Actually it does pass 4k@60fps... I have that same setup and I believe that the XMC-1 is 1.4b.

That will be up to the TV but ARC was not really meant to do that. (HD audio on the return channel) In other words not likely considering the HDMI chain and the fact that lowest common denominator wins. (in this case with audio it will be the 2ch display)

Seems to have done the trick ; when you go down the wikepedia list for 1.4;a;b it says 30fs maximum and hdmi.org just stipulates 60fs requires hdmi 2.0 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#cite_note-HDMIForumFAQVersion-110Shows what a great clean passthrough the XMC1 has

(and that will be up to the PS4) But hey I'm curious to see how it works.
