The Parameter Menu is missing from my OSD menu on my BasX Mc-700, it only shows Trims where there manual states Parameter should be located, is this a bug? I'm running version 2.8.7

Got my MC-700 last night, it is replacing my UMC-200. It was basically a quick swap, and fiddling with the settings/renaming inputs, etc. First impression for an hour is everything works, sounds good. Good to see it had the latest firmware installed out of box (2.9.0). Word of advice on shipping, put these in a sealed plastic bag. The cloth wrap is a nice touch, but my box was left outside my door while it was storming. I was thankfully home at the time by chance of luck. Otherwise I would have been sending back a totally wet MC-700.....
That aside, I am not seeing a volume indicator on the HDTV screen when I change the volume up or down like on the UMC-200. It's only showing on the LED screen of the MC-700, which is too tiny to read from where I sit.
In the manual it states " The current Volume setting is always displayed on the VFD and, by default, is shown in the OSD for several seconds whenever the Volume is changed."
Is there a setting I may have overlooked? I went through the entire manual and looked for settings. I can press the "info" button, and it will briefly show an OSD with this info, but I would just like what the UMC-200 showed. The volume level. I did change the Volume Mode to show the volume 0-80 rather than the -whatever - Would this effect it?
Also wanted to point out that the menu is "Trims" and not "Parameters" as stated incorrectly in the manual as well.
Also noted, for my PS4 to play Blurays, I had to switch it to Bitstream, where with my UMC-200 it was fine with Linear PCM.

It seems to be lag related when the processor is overworked (which it gets overworked easily; or runs out of ram quickly). No idea what is causing the CPU load, though.

We are still waiting for the manuals that were promise several months ago. I've taken a lot of heat but it seems once the natives shut up, the communication stops.

Spent another hour over lunch fiddling. Couldn't get any volume to display on the main screen. Tried every switch, no luck.
I did find another bug, though. The power button light, which goes from orange in standby to blue on power isn't consistant. Right now my MC-700 is off, and the ring is still blue. All my other Emotiva amps all went orange as they have. It's the first I've seen it do this out of maybe 10 power on/offs. The volume knob and front panel are indeed off as they should be. It's just the power button ring.

There's no OSD for hdmi inputs #1, 2 and 3. You should use hdmi inputs #4, 5 and 6 if you want/need OSD. It has been already explained on the forum and it's because its 2.0a hdmi board does not support it. I haven't had the problem you're reporting about the power button. Hope that helps.;-)

I have a couple queries:
-Is the BETA 2.9.0 firmware and the released 2.9.0 firmware the same? -I'm still having issues where occasionally when I power all my devices on with my universal remote (Logitech Harmony Elite) I get either a black screen or No Signal on my TV. This happens about 33% of the time and all inputs are set correctly. To fix it I can either power cycle the MC-700 or just go into the Menu, wait for it to appear, then exit. I have a pretty simple setup - TV (Vizio P75-C1), MC-700, NVIDIA Shield TV (2017) - HDMI (Premium Cable) to HDMI input 1 on MC-700, then HDMI (Premium Cable) to HDMI 1 on TV. Its a mildy frustrating issue that I've been dealing with. I've tried reseting both my TV and MC-700 to factory defaults, playing with video settings on all three devices to no avail.

pips, I fully agree with you. Actually, I don't know what some of the options are but there is no specific data in the manual about them, only generic info of how to use the menus.
darklightOtr, I'm using a harmony hub with my mobile and yesterday I had a similar issue, I still have to check it but I think some of the problems you talk about could be just solved changing the delay/timing settings for the emotiva within the activity: I mean it just seems that when it powers on the MC700 it tries to select too soon its input and thus you have to do it manually later.

I had to do this too. Added a 4 second delay after MC-700 power up seemed to work for me.

My light is now always blue. It briefly goes orange when I power off but then goes back to blue. Shrug. Can't say I've ever seen my UMC-200 or two amps do this. They just go orange when the power is going off.
Harmony remotes and UMC-200 I had to put in a delay, and when it did a source selection I do "Watch a movie" (Happens to be my PS4 on HDMI3) -> Powers up MC-700, delay, Selects HDMI 2, Selects HDMI 3.
For whatever reason it just seems to be consistent if you select a random input FIRST then have it select the proper input after. It just works. It fixed all my weird UMC-200 issues, and it appears to be working just fine with my MC-700. I haven't even had to touch my Harmony config after I swapped my UMC-200 out yet. I will when I start using the extra HDMI inputs I'd imagine, but eh. So far, so good.
I got about four hours of watching various TV shows on my Tivo, and watching vlogs on my PS4 last night. Everything is working with no weird noises or dropouts or anything. I did notice the volume level on the PS4 is twice that of my Tivo, so I had to adjust that input db to -10 ... I didn't have to do that on my UMC-200. Slight differences here and there, but nothing deal breaking.

pips - What firmware are you using? Have you tried reloading 2.9.0 and resetting your MC-700 to try to resolve the power button issue?
jolaca and GTPlus - I'll try that tonight and I feel kinda stupid for not thinking of that. I had to set a long delay on my UMC-1 with the Harmony Elite.

Hope that helps.;-) Found the post where it's mentioned (and yes it should be in the manual whenever that is finalized); read Lonnie's post: emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/49169/mc700-trouble?page=1"1. The OSD does work but only on video that is 1080 or lower. The SI chip is not capable of projecting OSD on 2K or higher. The way the Menu works is along the same lines. If your TV says its 4K then that is what the processor will run in. Therefore when you hit Menu, it will have to drop the live video to send a single stream of data which is the Menu."

Hmm, my sources are only 1080 and lower, so he is saying it should be working if I am reading that right? My source is a Tivo HD which is limited to 720p/1080i and my TV is a Sony KDL-60W630B which is 1080p max.
But, either way I've moved the sources where it is important to me (Tivo, PS4) over to ports 4 an 5 and the volume/OSD work perfectly and 100% now. I am not really concerned with anything the higher HDMI/HDCP specs offer at this moment, and no plans anytime soon. Maybe in five years I might be miffed a little, but not really.
Thanks for finding that, though. I think I read all that but my mind blanked out when the 4k started popping in because I didn't think it concerned me.

In the logitech harmonysoftware you can look at an activity and one of the options is "Yes, everything works, but id like to control it a bit more" - or something to that effect. Then you can add in commands that are delays. You can also hold the help button down on the logitech harmony remote itself and it will enter it into advanced mode, which allows you to delay things like... when the amp turns on, wait up to 1-14 seconds before continuing with activity, etc.
My power-on delay for the amplifier (mc-700) is 10 seconds. This is set by holding the help button down for 3 seconds and going into the advanced menu.
