Upgraded both of my units last night. This release seems to have cured the soft click/thumping I was getting on one of my units between tracks when played through the SONOS TOSlink output (I know that wasn't listed as a fix, but I'm not complaining :-).
Great job Emotiva !

Yes, and when the new HDMI 2.0b HDCP 2.2 board comes you need at least 4.0 for it to function correctly. So 4.1 covers that for sure. 4K is here to stay. Already seeing 8K pro cameras being served up. Current crop of cameras already giving 5K stills, and 5K computer monitors. I guess high "K" is more than Oh-"K"-ay. Still as a reminder based on the latest meeting with the National Association of Broadcasers meeting 2K HDR will be big for awhile till the gear up to 4K is here. So discs, and streams mostly are your 4K, and some limited over air 4K content.

Just updated mine and it went smoothly. Went from 1.4 to 4.1.
I know...don't laugh.
Maybe I'll finally run Dirac.

Did the update with no issues. Really like the front display without the borders.

Yep the XMC-1 looks allot better without the borders. Also from what I understand the flash drive update will be the only way to go. Nice and simple.

Yes the new borderless osd is great but I have one request............I know you can dim the blue lights on the fascia but it would be great to be able to retain the borderless osd independent of the blue fascia lights, eg turn off the blue fascia lights but keep the osd at different brightness levels, I think it would look really cool in low light situations to have no fascia lights and just the osd anyone with me here?

Finally got around to doing this firmware update.
I'm diggn' this borderless look, especially on the XMC-1 display.

Another successful update. Didn't even bother to turn on TV and just used the front panel of the XMC-1.

My upgrade went without a hitch.
Borderless OSD... what was the point?

My upgrade went without a hitch. Borderless OSD... what was the point? I like the new OSD. Borderless aside, the print is larger and easier to see.

"My upgrade went without a hitch. Borderless OSD... what was the point? I like the new OSD. Borderless aside, the print is larger and easier to see." I also could care less about the OSD border one way or another. No one has mentioned it unless I missed, but the display shown on the MONITOR is significantly improved and that means more. Bill

Well, that was easy, haha.
This is the first Firmware update I've done, and I've had my XMC-1 since they first went on sale. To be honest, I've been an Emotiva customer for a long time and was putting off the upgrade based off of older model horror stories. Seems things have changed.

Can you provide a link to the Firmware.
I don't see any "tabs" on the Product page,
Thanks,Joe
