What do I need to know? I have a new Sanus rack coming my way and have never had one. I plan on putting my second system in it as my #1 system is on the second floor. Rack weighs almost 200 lbs link www.bestbuy.com/site/sanus-component-100-series-27u-a-v-rack-black/4861382.p?skuId=4861382What do I need to know or what tips from experience can you give me. I'm totalin the dark on this thing except that it will/should organize my gear nicely. thanks for anything you can share.

Get wire ties. level it out when you're done. I love mine.

I'm totalin the dark on this thing except that it will/should organize my gear nicely. thanks for anything you can share. I have the older version of this rack. It comes with shelves of different RU heights on which you can place your gear. The best option is to get rack ears for everything you can. It should also include some blank filler panels of different heights. Use these between components in the empty spaces. I try to keep 1RU empty between pieces of equipment unless they aren't heat generating like a power distributor or storage drawer. You can also get a panel to go into the top with 120mm cutouts to which you can mount some fans to pull air up from the bottom vents and exhaust the warm air out the top. I like the Noctua 12v fans. If you have any specific questions I'll be glad to help if I can.

Ill install (2) XPA-1Ls (1) UPA-500 (3) C-12 exhaust fans (1) Blueray Player
Need a prepro Perhaps use my TA-100 for now
On another note would my HT setup fit?

That doesn't sound like legos or an erector set. "De-assembly" is definitely required so that you can insert your gear. You will need to remove all side, front and rear panels, unscrew the shelving and start with your heavier items on bottom and work your way up. Once you have have your gear in and spaced to your liking then you'll connect everything hence the wire ties I mentioned earlier. Finally test it out if everything checks out, reinstall all of the external panels.

I like to place equipment according to the signal path, inputs at the top, outputs at the bottom. So DVD player on top, pre-pro, then the Amplifiers on the bottom. (That also keeps the controls at the top so you don't have to bend over, and weight at the bottom.) Keep all the power cords on one side, audio wire on the opposite side.
Sincerely /b
