Oh how I hate HDMI. My win 10 box goes crazy feeding video through the UMC-200. In my future is a new video card with 2 HDMI out, one straight to the projector and the other to the processor handling audio only. Hope that makes me less insane than the current setup.

Alright, bringing the thread back to the original topic of wishlist items...
I could have sworn this was already a feature, but i spend a good bit looking through menus / the manual for it, so correct me if this is already implemented. I would LOVE to have independent video / audio selection. I love to listen to music for extended periods, but my SO often wants to use the projector to play video games. It would be real nice if i could have the audio from input 1 playing while the video from input 2 is being passed on to the screen. (so i can rock out while she games).
The xmc-1 display looks like it was already designed to support this, since it shows the input on both the audio and video lines current example: A: HDMI 1 PCM 5.1 192khz 24bit V: HDMI 1 1920x1080 ycbcr4410
should be able to do somehting like: A: HDMI 1 PCM 5.1 192khz 24bit V: HDMI 2 1920x1080 ycbcr4410

I often watch sport while playing music so a similar requirement. What I do is select the 2 x inputs in the Set Up, eg; video from HDMI 1 (cable box) and audio from HDMI 2 (AppleTV4K). If the ATV4K had 2 x HDMI outputs (like a Oppo 203) I could make that combination permanent in the set up eg; HDMI input #4. Then I wouldn't have to go into the Set Up menu and swap audio inputs, just select HDMI input #4. I don't need it often enough but if I did I could use a splitter on the inputs.
Cheers Gary

Cheers Gary Yah, things like that is why I still wish for a return to the input structure of the UMC-1... it was pretty much 16 (IIRC) "virtual inputs"... meaning you could assign any combination of physical video input and physical audio input that you wanted, to each one... including assigning the same physical video or audio input jacks to multiple slots. I work around it now using the "last video" feature or whatever it's called... for example on my HTPC, I can choose audio from HDMI, optical from my Xonar card, analog from my Xonar card, coax digital off the motherboard (theoretically... obviously that's not one I choose too often), or USB... but if I go to that particular HDMI input (let's say it's HDMI 4), which is set up as video and audio from HDMI... I can switch over to any of the others (which are on "audio-only" inputs), and still retain the video from the HDMI, due to the fact that it retains the signal from the last video input selected... Usually I even do it from the front panel, I kind of have the inputs "next to" each other to facilitate it, but even if I do end up cycling through another "video" input, I just do it fast enough that the XMC-1 doesn't have a chance to lock on to the signal... Not nearly as elegant/convenient as the UMC-1 "virtual inputs" solution, but hey, it works...

Thinking about it some more ........................ on the UMC-200 I could select say HDMI 4 with it set up to use the Video from HDMI 1 and the Audio from HDMI 2. I'll check it when I get home. Yeah, I don't see multiple hdmi audio sources though. Only the one that matches the video hdmi source. I could get an analog in source to play with a hdmi video source though.

I just want soft mute. Easy, right? Soft mute. That is all.

I can definitely get a mix of digital sources, say HDMI 4 with video from HDMI 1 and audio from toslink 1 or coax 1. Cheers Gary

Highres USB Async audio out, please. This would make the processor suit a whole range of emerging gear. I have Kef's LS50 Wireless speakers, would love to connect my XMC-1 to the USB input of those.

ATMOS! Preferably before a newer surround format is released.

Updates and support until at least 2025 and I’ll 🐝 a happy guy. Still enjoying the unit in its 2014 state with 4.1 firmware in place.

I would suggest Emotiva adds a High Pass Filter to the SUB out to filter very low frequencies that the average subwoofer cannot reproduce.

My wishlist is easy - Allow for a addition to the IR input so that vol+ and vol- are equal to older Emotiva products, or actually any product, so that I can use my DirecTV remote.
