I have a Emotiva BasX A300 amp about 3 months old. Thought I would ask the forum before Emotiva. It has worked & sounded great previously. When you push the on-off amber lighted button instead of turning on and turning blue and sounding wonderful --it clicks and goes black with no sound.
This system is not entirely dead in the water I can always listen to the preamp/amp Emo Bas X TA100
Any ideas? Thanks

Have you checked any and all fuses that this amplifier may have? I don't have this amp so not familiar with where those fuses might be.

I️ figured with a new amp listened to maybe 3x it would be bulletproof. I️ will check fuses

This is disturbing. What was resolution? Bad Fuse? Was there any power glitch or power 'event'? Sometimes you might not even notice, it happens so fast.

Emotivas reply was-- "Although we were unable to replicate the reported problems in our service area, the symptoms indicate a problem with the pcb6w assembly. We replaced the ec5,ec6, verified that all modifications are up to date and ran the unit for a few days. We also tested all inputs and outputs using our Audio Precision analyzer. " Thank you Joe Laliberte, Jr. Service Technician Emotiva Audio Corporation 615 790-6754 www.emotiva.com ____________________________________________________________________________ They paid for UPS both ways. Amp works great now. Planning on Emotiva mono amps in the future but for now my sound is wonderful

I see EMO tells you 'in code' what they did. PCB is of course 'Printed Circuit Board', but 6w? ec might be 'Electrolytic Capacitor' and 5 or 6 refers to the board position.
but I'm just guessing, here.
