Hello
Does any body here have any experience with XSP-1 and a tube amplifier ? I am thinking of getting the XSP-1 for my Tube amplifier. Would the XSP-1 be more of a match with an SS amp, or does it do well with a tube amp. as well ?.
Please chime in.
Thanks

While I don't use a tube amp with my XSP-1, I do use a tube DAC. I use both my MHDT NOS tube DAC's my MHDT Havana and my MHDT balanced Stockholm. I have to say I absolutely love the way these sound with the XSP-1. As for amp I am using an XPA-2.
I would say the XSP-1 would work excellent with a nice tube amp and see no reason why it would not.

I think I have used the XSP-1 with some sort of tube thing maybe a buffer. I don't remember it well enough.

I use my XSP-1 G2 with both a SS amp and a Bob Latino VTA ST-120. It sounds fantastic. Vinyl never sounded so good.

Why don't you just get a tube pre amplifier? I love my tube amp and my tube pre amp. I would think keeping it all tube is the best way. Why mix solid state and tube?

Tube amp is the Carry 120 mkII from Scott.
I do have a Shiit Freya, still brand new since I bought it, but I just love the Emo products, and was wondering if anybody mixed the xsp-1 with a tube amp. the system includes 2 La Scalla's II in a 2.0 config. only, no sub.

Have you tried the Shiit Freya with your tube amp yet? It's a darn good tube pre amp well worth the money. If I didn't already have my zero gain tube pre amp which sounds awesome, built by John Broskie that I paid much more for I would defiantly by a Shiit Freya. Nice unit
