A few days ago I turned off the switch on the back of my XMC-1 and now it won't power up. The light ring around the front panel on/off button is a purple color, not amber not blue. I have un-plugged it and plugged it back in, no change. It was working fine when I turned it off the other day. I can't call Emotiva until Monday so I was hoping someone had some ideas?

It is plugged in. When unplugged the ring is off, plug it in and the ring lights up purple.

Ring turns purple when the XMC-1 is receiving an IR command or Zone 2 is ON. So it's not even booting after turning ON the back switch? If that's the case you have to call Emotiva and most likely send it back to Franklin, TN.

It won't do anything after turning on the rear switch other than the ring light coming on in a purple color. Pressing the button does nothing, holding the button for a few seconds does nothing as well as the ON button on the remote. Looks like I will need to call Emotiva on Monday to see what to do next.

Franklin is such a wonderful town. My favorite town in TN and one of the top 5 in my USA list of places to visit. Did I mention that Puckett's is one of my favorites restaurants in the USA? My mouth waters just thinking on a Fillet Mignon with a Vanilla Milkshake

Does anyone know if there are any upgrade's available? If I need to send it back it would be nice to have it come back with the latest bells and whistles.

My XMC-1 is repaired and on its way back to Utah, the front panel board was the problem. I am looking forward to having it back, thank you Eomtiva for standing behind your products and the outstanding customer service that you provide.

would that be the eec board? just idle curiosity. Was there any apparent weirdness prior to the failure.

Good to hear and happy to know you’ll be back running in no time. No doubt the modular build of the XMC made short work out of the diagnosis and repair. In my book, this unit remains at the top of the heap of what you get, for what you pay. Bill
