Looking for some visually stunning movies to get started with. New tv will be here Friday. What is some reference material for this tech?

What is a general price range for this service? In my area from a B.B. technician it’s about $300. And takes about three hours with $15,000 worth of technology.

Thanks for the link! Should be helpful also. I started a new thread because I was just interested in PQ only. I’m just 5.1, no Atmos etc.

Planet earth II is ok, but some parts are hit and miss - Dunkirk is amazing - best UHD I've seen to date and I have quite a few.

Thanks for the link! Should be helpful also. I started a new thread because I was just interested in PQ only. I’m just 5.1, no Atmos etc. The thread allowed for 4K AND/OR Atmos and DTSX reviews. A goodly % of reviews have been on streamed 4K, which for me is Dolby Digital 5.1 at best. So by default mostly 4K reviews. Just posted a couple of new ones............. Cheers Gary

Spot on on the TV calibration. No content ever is at its best until your view screen type is. UHD content is amazing. I want to see Avatar and some great other Sci-fi in it. Maybe some of the latest Star treks, but the catalog keeps getting bigger. So choice is getting better everyday. You don't need atmos if you don't want too to get the 4K UHD experience. It is amazing to see when it is all just right.

If you want visually stunning, the film "La La Land" has some of the most vivid uses of color that you'll ever see. No, it may not be a movie to your (or anyone else's) taste, but the use of color (and its saturation in HDR) must be seen to be believed.
All the "Planet Earth" discs are great demos for high resolution, but once you've seen them once, then you've seen them, and probably won't want to again.
If I stumble across any other 4KHD discs that I think are exceptional, I'll post them on the "What Blu-Ray did you watch last night" thread.

Thinking about a 4K Oled tv. Worth the premium price? Absolutely. Any issues with image retention or burn-in? I'm seeing lots of horror stories online. Also Rtings.com is doing a real world test and it's not looking good. Is this a big issue?
