Being I'm retired military, I can get Tidal (lossless) for 9.95 a month. So I'm doing the one month free trial .. so far I love it. Much better than 19.95 for sure.
Question.. I'm logged in on my phone.. if I use my work laptop, can I log in there as well? Wasn't sure how many devices they allow

I have it on my phone, iPad and laptop. Oh great.. i saw there was a family plan.. so I thought there must have been some sort of device limit for signing in as a single user.

I think you can only play music one at a time. Ive tried A/B music with different DACs and I couldn’t play both at the same time. I first had to stop one and then play the other. This is from two different sources playing HiFi Tidal.

Here's some more info on it We mentioned the Tidal Family Plan earlier but even using just one account you can have up to three different offline devices. All three can play music simultaneously. In addition, you can play music in Tidal on your PC or Mac simultaneously with your offline devices.Apr 20, 2017 Also if your new to Tidal this could be of some help: www.whathifi.com/advice/25-tidal-tips-tricks-and-featuresCheers, Chad

Tidal is saving me money. I rarely buy music now. I love the Tidal/Roon integration. Fits my retired lazy *bleep*.

I have it on three devices...iPad, iPhone and Mac Mini. I found strictly by accident using the iPhone TIDAL is NOT as vibrant as the Mac Mini or iPad. I have no idea the reason why, however I do use TIDAL on my iPhone in the car 🚗

I use it on a lot of different devices - my desktop PC, my HTPC, and my HPPC (headphone PC!) - all in different parts of my house. They are all logged in at the same time. I've never tried to play music on each at the same time. I also have it on my phone and my surface. I like using it on my phone to stream bluetooth in my car when I get tired of XM radio.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "vibrant". As far as I know, MQA decoding is only supported on the COMPUTER clients (Mac and PC)... and not the iPhone... which would account for a difference when playing MQA files. Beyond that, there are different quality options, so maybe you have a different quality option chosen on the phone. Of course it's also quite possible that the DAC in your iPhone just isn't as good as the other DACs you're using. I have it on three devices...iPad, iPhone and Mac Mini. I found strictly by accident using the iPhone TIDAL is NOT as vibrant as the Mac Mini or iPad. I have no idea the reason why, however I do use TIDAL on my iPhone in the car 🚗

... when I get tired of XM radio. Mark Thanks for the info.. I'm really tired of XM.. it's been more of a disappointment overall. When I first started listening to it, I expected CD quality, I thought maybe my car audio was bad or set wrong, popped a CD of the same song playing on XM, and realized it was not my car audio. After some inquiries, I found out the music is highly compressed version of AAC. Heck, a good local FM station sounds better.. so anyway, after streaming Google Play (high setting is 330 mp3) and now, Tidal at lossless level, I think I'm gonna put my 10 bucks a month for XM to better use.

Tidal is saving me money. I rarely buy music now. I love the Tidal/Roon integration. Fits my retired lazy *bleep*. Agreed.. I'm gonna cut out my XM subscription and Google Play premium (which gives me YouTube Red free). Or maybe just XM.. Google Play has quite a few recordings that Tidal doesnt have (Chesky Records).. I love a lot of Chesky stuff. Google can give me 330 mp3 , I find it good for my car. But overall with Tidal and Google Play Premium, I should really cut out XM.

I agree that the sound quality of XM is lacking, particularly via satellite (as opposed to via internet), but the DJs are great, it is a good source for musical discovery, and it sure is convenient in the car and at home through Amazon's Alexa.

I only use XM for in the car or via my Sonos in non-critical listening situations (like - floating in the pool or cooking in the kitchen).
