Good day! Recently I decided to update my XMC-1 with the installed firmware version 3.1 to the new firmware 4.1. Everything was done according to the instructions, but during the installation, the error "HDMI Error. Reboot & Try" was displayed on the processor's display. I was afraid to turn off the XMC-1, I thought that it would turn into a brick. But the error repeated, no buttons reacted for a long time. I had to make a cold restart. Thank God, the processor has booted. I saw that the kernel was updated to version 4.1. But I have a suspicion that everything went wrong with him, because there was a bug: sometimes the signal disappears when the processor is turned off and in skip mode. Only the activation from the front button or a cold restart helps. Tell me please. Is it possible to solve this problem? Or do I need to re-XMC-1 again?

Forgot to specify that the processor is an old HDMI board

I'd call Emotiva on this one.

A call might be a good idea as Mark suggested. But if you haven't already done so you might try resetting to factory defaults and try the update again with a new download and a different USB stick.

^^... Solid advice above and in addition, yes, the 4.1 firmware does work with the original HDMI 1.4b board. No problem there.

Resetting to factory settings is a good idea. You can also try. But I just thought that it might be worthwhile to disconnect all external devices connected to HDMI from the processor and leave only the TV. I suspect that a bug with the processor shutdown may be due to my new satellite receiver. The error seems to have appeared after connecting it to XMC-1
