What speakers are you using ? Sometimes with high efficiency speakers you may not notice a difference. The XPA will not change the sound, but normally you will hear a more robust and fuller sound, unless your speakers are very efficient.

Also, what listening level are you sitting with? If you are just listening at low to moderate levels then the amp may give you better control over the drivers and maybe improve the low end but nothing immediately different. If you listen at loud levels you should notice up around reference level that the amp has more punch. Once again, as stated above....a lot depends on your speakers....and listening habits.

Those Paradigm are pretty highly sensitive speakers at 93 db. It doesn't take much power to move them. You will most likely hear a difference at higher volumes during difficult passages in music and movies, like vehicles crashing, helicopters, planes, explosions, etc.

I would use the xpa 7 to power front 3 speakers and 4 atmos modules. Then power the remaining surrounds with the xpa 5. Again this is just my opinion.

In my opinion. I would run the trigger from the Marantz to the in of XPA3 then the out to the XPA 5. When the Amp is triggered on there is an in-rush of current, hooking them up this way (daisy chain) allows each amp to have an In-rush without overloading the electrical circuit, and possibly overloading and tripping the electrical panel breaker.
