Hey guys, I'm having another issue with my XPA-1L amps - now it's one of the stereo pair amps. What happens is that once in a while, I suddenly don't hear sound from the left channel. The sound returns when I crank the volume way up and then back down. I switched amps between the left and right speakers just to make sure it's not a speaker/cable issue. The issue switched side as well which means it's the amp fault. Any idea what can be the reason and how you'd recommend handling it?
Thanks!

I'm now facing the exact same issue, did you get yours resolved somehow? Thanks.

In the meantime, I switched between the centre channel and the left channel because it is less critical for me in the centre channel. Have you tried switching between the balanced and unbalanced modes in the back of the amp for few times? some had recommended this method.

I did not, will try this one... so just switch the toggle, not connecting any unbalanced cables in or anything?

That’s right. I also toggle the amp class switch on the front once in a while.

Thanks for the idea. It did work well for a few hours but eventually the sound disappeared again. I do notice that it overheats far more then the other monoblock, so I guess it has something to do with it.

Mine was warmer than the others as well.

Interesting... It's not worth it to me to send to Emotiva although it's still under warranty. Just shipment would cost 280$ (and I'll need to pay return shipping as well).
Thanks for the info.

That’s why I didn’t send it to Emotiva when I wasn’t living in North America. If you need a technical to check it in TLV area PM me.
