We moved some time ago, and I thought I would run EMO_Q again. I am running 2.9.2 firmware and have had no issues in the performance of the processor (MC-700). I plugged in the mic (heard a soft click in the speakers when I did) and using the setup menu began to run EMO_Q. The program went through the first stage, and detected the speakers NOT connected (I have a 5.1 setup, not 7.1). But when it finished the first cycle, it stopped, and the display showed NO SPEAKER detected on every channel. I repeated it a couple of times with the same results.
This tells me there is either a circuit issue, or a bad mic. Before addressing some of the issues it seems I may want to do a total reset. But before I do I am wondering if there is anything else in my setup that would cause this to happen. The mic has been safely put away, I don't see why it would suddenly stop working. I did ring out the cable and got a ~!K reading. So at least the cable is not open.

Did you "really" plug in the microphone all the way? That was a quite common problem with the UMC-200 that the mic seemed to be in but still would have needed one further notch to really be fully inserted and working correctly.
