Getting ready to send my XMC-1 in for repair and board upgrade. I have all the cables removed except one Balanced XLR where it does not seem to want to release from the back of the XMC-1. Anybody else run into this issue and if so, how did you fix it as I don't want to be too aggressive?

I'd call Emotiva. Worst case, send it in with the cable attached and let them know it's on the way in that condition.

I had exact same problem like yours. I ended up cutting the balanced cable as close as possible to the unit so that I can ship the unit in its box. I tried just about everything to releases the cable but was unsuccessful. I sent the unit back to Emotiva for the repair along with V3 hdmi board upgrade at the same time.

Monoprice premium. Sent cable in with unit as it was going in for maintenance and board upgrade anyway

Missed this one... I have used a tiny screwdriver or flat plastic "swizzle stick" or flexible strip to jiggle the tab on the connector or the receptacle to extract XLR plugs over the years. Sometimes the little leaf springs get worn or broken and won't release. Have not had it happen on my Emotiva equipment, fortunately.
