I think I joined the Lounge when Sherbourn was no longer an active company.
Would someone fill me in on the history of Sherbourn?
Were they an independent company?
Were they connected to Emotiva in some manner or had they been at some point?
Did Emotiva purchase Sherbourn as a company or just their inventory?

But what I do know is ..sherbourn was the pro installer side for Emotiva. Their gear had 10 year warranties and at times better build. They also cost more. Even though sherbourn is defunct Emotiva honors their warranties. But I don’t know if they are transferable.

I own several Sherbourn amps and preamps plus a recently acquired CD-1 and the quality is fantastic. The sound quality of the preamps is the best I’ve heard.
Not sure what exact association there was but I’ve heard Bob Carver and Rotel both had a hand in the Emotiva and Sherbourn lines around the time of the merger.
