Seems to be awfully quite out there about the likes and dislikes on the RMC. I am guessing that everybody is too busy enjoying them to take time to post!!!!!!

Not even close. At least not at this current time there aren't. I also think your question belongs in the other thread. It will get answered there if you ask it, eventually.

It's hard to do a full comparison until Dirac is available but I can tell you that even with a basic setup inputting speaker distance, basic cross over points etc it sounds OUTSTANDING! I'm running a 7.2.2 set up for now.
Previous processors were an XMC-1 with Dirac, and then an Anthem AVM 60 with ARC. The RMC-1 has a lower noise floor (dead quiet) and vastly improved dynamics. It is not a small improvement it is a game changer IMO.
I will hold out for Dirac for a formal review but I am really impressed with it so far and have had zero issues to date. Anybody near the PA/NJ border is more than welcome to stop by for a listen.

It's only ever a very small portion of users that actually post here. Just because 4 of the 5 people who said they bought one here are having problems there's gotta be hundreds in the wild that are working perfectly. Or not..

Scott I'd only like to comment on the dead quiet thing. My Denon receiver, by itself, using it's internal amps, is dead quiet. No noise what so ever, even with my ear touching the cloth front of speaker, tweet, mid range, or woofer. So anyone saying a Denon or Marantz can't be dead quiet is simply wrong. Only when I introduced the Emotiva XPA-2 and XPA-5 did I get some slight noise. Sound QA difference between the Denon amps and the Emotiva? None. They sound identical.

Many of your posts I've read seem argumentative and a bit obstinate as though you've already made up your mind and are only in the thread to either change another's mind or challenge them.
I can appreciate your taking issue with the silent noise floor issue and I've also had some noise issues with my Emo amps. (finally corrected by removing dimmer switches that didn't create noise in other amps) But you addressed only this and didn't ask about dynamics or what else I may have to offer in terms of first hand experience. Not even the fact that my unit had no issues out of the box.
Just some food for thought brutha. If you're ever in my area I'd love to meet up for a cold one and to "chew that fat" Na Zdorovie!

I got one positive answer at least and thank you for that simpleman68 I always like to do some research before I spend 7500 dollars..... With tax and everything that's what its going to cost me shipped to Norway! My xmc1 is working flawlessly, and the sound is excellent But atmos is very tempting And if 2 channel is better as well..... Than I have no choice lol

Finally got a lunch break where I could take some time to properly answer you. No need to be light-hearted man. I’m a big boy. No need to sugar coat or be politically correct around me. Probably because it’s a bit smaller community and I’m used to it. I’ve looked at the other major forums and even posted there from time to time, but they have never held my attention long. At this place I’ve even come to find I sort of know people here, who I like, who I trust, etc. It’s comfortable. Believe it or not, I actually like a lot of what Emotiva has had to offer over the years. But as you know I also have not been a fan of some things, or the current direction they appear to be on. The 3 biggies have been their processors, the high product turnover rate (here today, gone tomorrow), and their leadership in large. On the other hand, I don’t think I’ve ever been a downer regarding their amps, or the Airmotiv 3b speakers I have (combined with my Schitt Fulla2, those speakers are awesome). In the end I’m a big “bang for the buck” kind of guy when it comes to almost everything. Hence why I came here in the first place. On the flip side, I could ask you the same thing. Not so much from a personality side of things, but with your obviously higher than average income, you are most certainly not the typical Emotiva customer, or Emotiva forum goer. So why are you still here? I can understand you saying that. I’m usually really not trying to be argumentative, but, I am no lemming. I certainly question things. But I also don’t shy away from an argument, or, from my perspective, more so a good debate. For example, keithl and I have had many discussions over the years, sometimes quite lengthy and on opposite sides of the fence, but always in good terms, at least the way I have seen it. It’s good when it goes like that. What has become very clear to me over the years is that there ARE for sure, 2 different camps here. We all know what those camps are called and who is on each side, but the fact that they do exist is undeniable. I think each side finds the other just as frustrating as the other, so in that way we are equals. Where we aren’t equals is since this is an Emotiva forum, one side most certainly has an advantage over the other. I think it’s this disadvantage that might make my posts seem a bit argumentative as you say. All part of my I.N.T.J. personality I’m afraid. (Introvert, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging). Many people in real life call me overly opinionated. The thing about us INTJ’s is that we don’t typically intend to be opinionated or arrogant about it, but it does come across that way to some, or even many. The funny thing is, as much as we INTJs have stuff we KNOW, we also have stuff we KNOW we DON’T know. As odd as many people find us, we feel the same in return. But hey, let me tell you, there is a crap load of stuff out there I don’t know. Part of the reason I’m still here is to learn, as I am still learning a lot from this place, and I like that. But also, make no mistake, and I make no bones about it, once I form an opinion, it’s hard to make me change it, and that is where I can be obstinate, for sure, no doubt. You got me. I’d say this varies highly on the thread in question. It’s most definitely not all the time. I think maybe it’s because it’s those threads that garner the most attention. I don’t recall anyone getting all gushy excited when I’ve been overly positive about how awesome something Emotiva has, which, believe it or not, I have done. Or perhaps it’s just because those threads peak my interest more than happy birthday threads. I dunno. I’ll try to keep an eye on that one and pay more attention. I don’t think I took issue with it. I didn’t say it was a worthless quality or that it wasn’t important. All I said is that Denon products can be dead silent also. So in this particular area, Emotiva holds no advantage. I might take some issues with Emotiva, but the vast majority of people here will most certainly take issue with Denon and Marantz. Not a single other company on this forum gets bashed on more than Marantz. If people read the rules here, we’re not supposed to do that either. But not one single person here that I know of has ever gotten in trouble for bashing Marantz. I didn’t address them because of exactly what you said, I don’t have firsthand experience. Things like dynamics, sound stage, clarity, imaging etc. require firsthand experience. Things like that also involve the room itself, so there is no way for me to compare or comment. But noise floor does not require firsthand knowledge, if it’s dead silent. Dead silent is dead silent, like 0 is always equal to 0. Well then I think maybe you should go on the other thread and post your findings. I like good news. I get just as tired of all the negative crap as anyone else does. The difference is I don’t just give Emotiva a pass, or let it go. I call it out. and ride that train until something gets done. I hope the RMC issues get fixed ASAP. I do have a 40% off card don’t cha know. Just need to see the issues get fixed, AND, see how the modules go. Read, understood, and comprehended. Answered and back at cha. Me too. Actually, since we are all into discussing personalities, you sir always seem to be about as cool, calm, and collected as they come. From what I can tell you are a fun loving guy who enjoys the hell out of life, from the people in it to having a lot of fun toys. You come across as a very likeable easy going sort of guy. I bet in real life you have a large number of friends. You appear to be on a long wonderful trip and I’m happy for you. Really. Now you’ve got me. I have no idea what that is. Or do I? Is that a Russian drinking toast? Like Prost! in German? Check out this link about INTJs and you will learn MUCH about me. I always thought when I was made they broke the mold and threw it away, because I have never met anyone like me. Nor have any of my friends. But when I read this the first time a few years ago I almost crapped myself. This write up describes me to so closely it’s almost scary. www.humanmetrics.com/personality/intj

Wow, that's a lot of info but you spoke your mind I suppose. I wasn't sugar coating my response, I negotiate for a living and have done fairly well with it. So when it comes to my personal life I always enjoy the exchange of ideas in a bold yet respectful manner. I respond online the same way I do in person and it seems to work well for me.
I think you learn more about a person via their response than most anything else. Happy trails brutha Scott

How come I know exactly who will post one liners and jabs when something goes wrong? I'll admit to doing it at times myself but it doesn't become a Pavlov's response. Plus this audio forum is VERY forgiving. Many manufacturers boards would be banning folks left and right for much less. I'm surprised I'm still here. lol
