While I know all OLED panels on the market are made by LG and the rest of the features of said panel is what Sony and Panasonic add, the below link is what those of us in the United States are missing out on. Nice to see that this new Panasonic is offering HDR10+ and Dolby Vision(the only OLED that will have both). Congratulations to everyone outside the US that will have this new Panasonic OLED in their home. www.whathifi.com/reviews/panasonic-gz2000-4k-oled-2019

Samsungs MicroLED panel technology, and yes it appears they will have a 75in version in the near future. Personally I hope MicroLED technology is the future, as it's advantages are definitely there to supplant OLED.

Now that you purchased the LG OLED C8, are you planning on wall mounting it? If so, have you decided on a mount? I'm considering one of these: Sanus VLT16Sanus VLT5Vogel's 3305

For Samsungm it's only good news that microLED is where they are going. OLED is still the picture quality winner versus the Q DOT, so more competition in the market place for OLED's is good.
I'm waiting for the prices on these large OLED to come down a lot. A 70-75inch OLED at 1k would be nice. I can wait 4 to 5 years. Wishful thinking?

LG QLED blacks are crushed, thats one problem they have not adressed yet because everybody says their tv is so great. If we start criticizing them for their problems they may adress them. Otherwise, yep! Heck of a great picture with pricing a bit of a problem too! the Q8 does have wonderful blacks from what I’ve gathered from many reviews. I’ll know much more this evening when my Q6 is installed. I know it won’t be the same as the Q8 but it was a deal I couldn’t let go!

In the past, I've used several $25-$40 wall mounts that allows enough of a tilt to stop glare and they've been every bit as good as sturdy as the big name brand mounts. If you are going to wall mount, just make sure the mount will accommodate the VESA 300x200 sizing of the LG OLED's. Below is what I ordered for my Samsung.

Umm... Yup... LG QLED blacks are crushed Is it Samsung QLED or LG OLED whose blacks are crushed? I did notice on an older model 50 inch LG OLED that the blacks were crushed. But on their larger 65 inch unit the blacks were no (visibly) crushed. Any further info on this?

I think I’ve watched and read every review I could find about both manufacturers and it’s been the LG blacks that have been reported crushed, this by more then just a couple of Professional TV calibers without “gifts” from said manufacturers. They spent their own dollars to do these reviews and have showed some comparisons. I had been shopping for a tv for some time and have looked at both. I did end up getting a less expensive tv made by Samsung but I’m sure it’s not the picture quality of an upper end tv by any manufacturer. Dollars vs picture quality just couldn’t be overcome. ie; I got a hell of a deal! 😁 Have it home now and I’m very happy, colors are incredible! I’m not being bias as I purchased and viewed each review without caring who made the tv, just what the presented “facts” were. Yep, the upper LGs and Samsung’s have incredible pictures but they all have their faults.

Break in needs to start from the very beginning, not after you've spent a bunch of time watching it already.
