Hi
I recently purchased XPA-3 GEN3 and have a 7.2.4 setup at home for HT also have a spare basx-a300 and crown xls2502 driving the subs
i was going to purchase the XPA-DR3 but suggestions from my other post here suggested i wouldnt benefit from the extra power or soundwise and so now i have some budget left from purchasing the XPA-3
I also changed my receiver to yamaha avr 3070 using as the preamp at the moment and LCR speakers are the Jim Holtz Statements II
my music comes from bluesound node 2. The music i listen to is abit of a mix, rock, metal, r&b, pop, relaxing piano etc as long as the song has a good rhythm to me.
I'm looking at trying to improve the 2ch listening experience and thought maybe a dedicated preamp might improve the sound.
for Solid State, based on my budget i narrowed down to these 3; XSP-1 / Parasound P5 for the HT bypass feature
or the PT-100 as a cheaper alternative (since it is $1000 AUD cheaper than XSP-1, i can forgo the HT bypass)
Would i hear much of a difference between the XSP-1 and PT-100?
or alternatively for around the similar price range i'm open to tubes, i was considering getting those chinese integrated tube eg, yaqin 30L or 13s just to experience but after reearching, it is said that these do not have much bass and so the sound is abit thin.
