Per prior reviews, I've been looking at adding a 2nd headphone station. I was originally thinking of getting another BasX A100, but had eyed some Schiit. Once I heard about Schiit, I kinda wanted some even though I didn't know Jack Schiit himself.
Out of the blue, Lounge member creimes PM'd me and said "I've got some Schiit I want to sell. It's not cheap Schiit, but I can save you some $" Long story short, I bought his Schiit Asgard 2 to see if I gave a Schiit about its sound.
It arrived, looks great, so I hooked it up. It's hooked to up to my Allo BOSS 1.2 player/DAC. See link below for details on that.

I'm listening to the same playlist as the review above, and here's what I can say so far.
The Schiit sounds good.
It's clearly a bit lower on power than the A100, but for my Senn 600's, it's got enough git up and go to sound like some fine Schiit. Do I have to turn the volume knob further? Yes. Am I worried about getting carpal tunnel from excess wrist motion? No.
It has low and high gain settings, and I'm listening in low gain right now. I had to turn the knob further than when I had it in high gain. You know what, it's louder in high gain mode than low gain. No Schiit.
Both low and high gain modes sound fine and I can make my Senn's come to life in either. It's just a question of how far I turn the knob.
The sound is very nice overall. Very smooth and leaning to what I would call warm. Not hot Schiit or cold Schiit...just warm and natural Schiit.
My only complaint so far is that the power on light is white. Blue is so much more soothing.
One last point...the manual from the Asgard 2 is very basic, but it tells you all the Schiit you need to know in a clever way.
I think I'll end up putting the Schiit and Allo BOSS on my main floor and the BasX A100 and Hifiberry DAC+ Pro in the loft.
