I usually just listen to music in stereo mode with my subs and sub amp off. Dirac sounds excellent but made bass on my fronts light. Each front has 2 10's, so 4 10's total. Before running Dirac I set them to small with a 40 Hertz crossover. Is there any way to apply the Dirac settings to preset 1 and then I can tweak preset 1 to increase bass?
Thanks

Thanks No, but you can apply bass and treble controls on top of Dirac.

Hmm, I don't see it in setup, where is it and can I apply it to a certain input in memory, or does it go back to 0 when powered off?
Thank you!

I’m only aware of a general setting (not input specific), I just tested my tone settings and they do reset to 0 when it’s powered off. You can get to the tone settings in the Menu > Main Zone > Trims > Tone — you can adjust bass and treble from there. Harmony remotes can access this directly. There is also a Dirac thread which discusses the “thin bass” issue and includes some suggestions for creating a fuller bottom end. I’ll find it and post a link. Edit: Here it is: emotivalounge.proboards.com/post/703708/thread

You're great! I wish I could store this setting to an input, oh well.
Thanks for the thread too, I'll read it.

Sorry to revive my old thread...
Lately, when listening to stereo, I put Loudness on and have been increasing bass trim on top of that. Kind of a pain to do every time I listen to music because with movies I want Loudness off, bass trim for speakers lower, and subs increased a few db.
Anyways, I am really contemplating doing the XMC-1 to XMC-2 trade in program. My XMC-1 has no upgrades so it would be $1,000 for me. Does anyone know if the new Dirac will handle speaker bass differently/better? What about other Dirac changes? I like Dirac on the XMC-1 but am not satisfied completely (I did not purchase Full however). Dirac on the XMC-2 compared to the XMC-1 will definitely sway my decision. I tried advanced searching "Dirac" and "XMC-2" in the processor section and got no results.

To do what you are wanting to do you need to invest $99 and purchase Dirac Full on the Emotiva site, you can adjust the curve with Dirac Full, sort of like adjusting the EQ, there are tutorials on it out there as well, but the Full version is what allows you to make adjustments to the curve that Dirac creates. emotiva.com/products/dirac-live-full-for-emotivaChad

Thanks, at this point I may as well save the $100 if I am thinking of moving to the XMC-2. I know Dirac is not complete for the new processors yet but it's a new and improved correction platform, any news as to improved features? Do we know if the Dirac that comes with the XMC-2 is limited and you need to pay for a full version again?
Thanks

Thanks No one knows yet on Dirac for the XMC-2 if it will be the free Live version or Dirac Full, I'd have to assume the same as what was with the launch of the XMC-1 but none of us are in the know at this point. Chad They said there will only be the full version going forward(Xmc-2, rmc-1 & rmc-1L). That the bass modules would be extra charge but no word on whether those will actually arrive for Emotiva.
