I stream Tidal on a mac mini > PS Audio Directstream DAC> a variety of good stuff.... I thought the Directstream had a network interface for directly talking to streaming services, why do you need the mac for Tidal?

I don’t use the wireless card, optional waiting for improved interface on Bridge III, in lieu of Roon.
Also, my collection is on the mini. Never listen to it in lieu of Tidal, but that's where it lives.
Best,

I stream TIDAL through my iPhone or Windows laptop (Using Tuneblade) to my Airport Express which is hooked to my DAC. Nothing like having a library of 45+ million CD Quality+ tracks.

I stream a couple of ways currently. For music I have a wonderful old Squeezebox Touch! Love that thing. It is hard wired to my ethernet and pulls music off a hard drive attached to my main tower. I also occasionally use my Plex server where my video is stored and shared. Plex uses a different naming protocol, and I have more music than I am willing to rename the folders, so I do not get the full extras for all my music. But I can stream through Plex just fine if I wish to, and it is killer for movies and tv. Trey I'm with you! I have three Squeezebox touches, along with a squeezebox Duet remote for each of my three audio systems. I ripped my entire one thousand CD library , in lossless format, to my server in 2009, and have been adding to it ever since. I use the touch to stream from other sources as well, such as Pandora, Folk Alley, etc. I also have a plex server, but use that exclusively for video right now.

Tidal (premium version). I get it deeply discounted through the military rate.
I stream through the app on my phone straight to Headphones.. my phone has a really nice DAC that is MQS certified.
I was streaming Tidal from laptop to my PT100 but sold it to buy an XSP-1.
I can stream to the XSP but have to use a Bluetooth adapter, but dont use it much now that I have a TT (thanks to NovisNick).
I love Tidal.. lossless music and MQS. Really nice.

I too used to subcribe to Tidal, but I found it too expensive for what I used it for. My Amazon Prime gets me free shipping on most items, free streaming movies, and FREE MUSIC STREAMING. Maybe not the highest quality, but not a bad quality. And did I mention that it is already included in a service I already pay for? I use the same Amazon Prime and really enjoying that.

A really nice feature of the Squeezebox Touch....the screen can become a digital representation of an analog meter.

I stream music for convenience and background only, Apple Music and the Apple TV4K work perfectly, using any of the iDevices I simply tell Siri what I want to listen to and it just plays. All of my CD’s are on the MacMini, so playing background music from them is equally simple and convenient.

I primarily stream from Spotify to either my AppleTVs or directly to my AV8802A via Spotify connect. I have tidal, but for background music or patio music I find Spotify works better and it’s playlist are a lot better. I just started using Apple Music with the three month free trial since I can stream music just with my watch and AirPods for when I run I don’t have to carry my phone. So far I prefer Spotify to Apple Music overall. But the Siri integration with Apple Music is neat. We have a HomePod in the house so I can just say “hey Siri play Queen in the kitchen” and it starts to play. It has been pretty fun that the kids (6 and 3) have learned how to ask Siri to play songs. They just ask her to play music and then just laugh.
