Looking at this, VPI - Prime Scout Turntable with JMW 3D Tonearm Armwand (9") Will need a MM cartridge recommendation.
Not much info on specs. At least it's not an acrylic platter.

Sorry Gents, My turntable is NOT for sale! I thought you had an AR turntable. Yes sir! (I still have it where it belongs) l took one last spin down memory lane with it in 2014, for a couple of hours, before putting the XMC1 into service.....and THAT was the first time I pulled it from mothballs since 1995! Thinking 1,500.00, Exact II factory installed and not a blemish on it. Includes original box all packaging and TT-PSU. When not in use I’ve always had a cover over the lid and all. If you get that much for it good for you! I usually eat 40-50% of the cost on my gear when I sell it used. I see the Rp6 with cart sells for $1700 new still at HIFIHeaven. First, perhaps I should starts a 4 sale thread, I can say that your math skills need to improve! Please try again. Try again. Perhaps what you eat is incorrect as well math as well. Thanks for the non- constructive post. Friends here are very able to research most anything and if your not making an offer I must conclude “Haters going to Hate” ! One more thought, perhaps “I was thinking $1,500” was a starting point. See that now?

By some of the highest authorities I’ve been informed that my Rega RP 6 is a most exceptional TT and a superior upgrade can be had by simply adding one of these! Which would keep the Mrs Ferrari Red TT in the house and give me the improvement I desire at a fraction of the cost. 🤔 www.sound-smith.com/cartridges/fixed-coil/zephyr-mk-iii

I clearly said I think it’s great if you get that much and didn’t think it would offend you to state what it was costing new currently. I will refrain from posting on your threads, unless you only want input that you agree with. I would not have crapped on your for sale ad, which it seems like you are acting as though I already have. Blessings, Ben

Blessings, Ben No worries, lust struck me wrong when you added $1,299. & $500. And came up with $1,700. I just thought it may have meant something else. Most newer gear Ive seen sell in as new condition has sold for 30-40% off unless still under a transferable warranty. I really was / am just kicking around the notion to get feedback, thanks for yours! I’m informed that Id be better off just upgrading the cartridge. The one I’ve posted elsewhere. Unless better options are offered in this thread I may just go that way. Sorry to all if I seemed rather grumpy earlier today! PeaceNick

I would completely agree. Change the cartridge and enjoy.
Grado doesn't go well on Rega Arms.
My dealer loves the Dynavector 20X cartridge.

What is that Zepr, $2,000? I probably wouldn't go that high on the RP6. Dealer once told me that its only appropriate to put a cart on a table at most that is the same as the table cost. By that recommendation, the RP6 alone without cartridge was $1,500 to $1,600.
Your table is screaming for a Sumiko Blackbird or Dynavector 20XH.

Good call, right at $1,500 add This as well, www.groovetracer.com/RP6Subplatter.htmand the bearing kit

Only $1,500. You have my permission. (Ha)
You'll want the dealer to install because you'll need spacers under the tonearm because the rega carts are shorter than most. (Unless you can do yourself, I know I can't)
If you are using the lid it will not close all the way with the standard counter weight.
The Groovetracer subplatter is widely respected as a great upgrade.
(I have a friend with a RP6 and he had to do this for a Ortofon 2M Black)
Good Luck

For MM - I would have heartily recommended the Shure V15-VMR But as they stopped making them - probably not (If you can find a "Vintage" NIB old-stock one, however, you WILL NOT be disappointed) If they were good enough for the Sony Archives as a "Reference" Cart - they're certainly good enough for me, and mine STILL plays great at around 1-gram tracking force
Otherwise - I've heard good reviews (but never personally heard) any of the higher-end Cartridges from: -Sumiko (If I ever upgrade to MC - One of the "Blue Point Specials" would probably be near the top of MY list) -ClearAudio -London Decca -Mobile Fidelity (MoFi) -Goldring -Ortofon (2M Black Series)
