Is the Maggie bass panel something to consider or should I go with a sealed sub?

So I have Maggie 3.6/R speakers, in a 16,000 cubic foot room, biamped by two Conrad Johnson Premier 140 stereo amps, each speaker segment seeing 140 high quality, high current KT120 tube watts.
Using REW, I very carefully tuned sub location, crossover frequency, phase and level for flat bass, and realized I didn’t need the sub at all and took it out of my system.
IMO, for high fidelity in my room and system careful speaker placement is the best way to get robust, natural bass.

Is the Maggie bass panel something to consider or should I go with a sealed sub? The Magnepan Bass Panel is not a subwoofer. Magnepans deserve a Rythmik subwoofer or two. There is a lot of low frequency program material that Magnepans just can’t reproduce. Can Magnepans be enjoyed without a subwoofer? Sure, but if you add a competent subwoofer, appropriately employed, you will discover there is a quality missing without it. Bass is not natural if it’s intended to be there and it isn’t.

Tron 2012 to name a few. My first week with the Sub. Was spent mostly plowing thru my music collection and finding many recordings with a bottom that was either missing all together or lacking the impact that gets delivered now. Bill

Interstellar, low and high output bass Yes! (That’s a great flick also) Somehow I haven’t been able to bring myself to snag a copy of The Martian 👽 because of this... ( Matt Damon) stranded on 2 different planets) LOL BILL

I have to admit that, in terms of "production values", I found The Martian to be underwhelming.
I thought it was a great movie - excellent plot, writing, and all the rest... However, to be quite blunt, I would have enjoyed it just as much in plain old HD... (But, then, I also thought The Maltese Falcon worked just fine in 480P B&W.)
To me, there didn't seem to be much about the excellent audio and video quality in the that made the movie itself better.
(In other words, if I had a copy on plain old Blu-Ray, I probably wouldn't buy it again in 4k either.)
Incidentally, FYI, by all accounts, The Martian was edited in 2k - and converted back and forth - even though it was filmed and distributed in 4k.

Oblivion is an excellent movie for testing your entire setup, between all the sound effects in the movie and the soundtrack music done by M83, I could watch that film over and over and over just for the sound alone haha, the scene where Tom and Olga are in his flying machine and are getting chased by the three flying drones is insane when cranked up, or even the scene when he rappels down into the library and the drone comes in and blasts everyone to dust haha.

Too funny I’m in the middle of Oblivion now (bookmarked). It is a great flick where all of the special effects add significantly to the storyline. Honestly though I don’t care much for the music score and Ironically the isolated track is available.

War of the worlds
Interstellar is my favorite there is a scene where they are passing the black hole and the scene goes on for a few minutes. There is so much sub sonic Frequencies it’s amazing. My POwer sound audio XV3600 will make you feel like your chest is being squeezed.
I’ve showed it to a few friends and a handful of them say they felt really uncomfortable during the whole scene. Haha
Which subs did you get?

Do you need any help or guidance setting up multiple subs? Yes Sir. Thank you kindly. I have a 18’ square room. At the 12 o’clock position is a fireplace. On either side of it is a window 6’ tall. At the 3 o’clock position is an open threshold. At the 7:30 position there is a door that I can close. I have several different size rugs to cover the parkay flooring.

Do you know of a link if that is possible?
