Alright, here it is. Going to spare any long winded words and descriptions, it sounds awesome. For those that are curious, I am running the Airmotiv 6s balanced out from the main output as well as a Headphone amp out of the same main output via single ended. I then have the other headphone amp hooked up to the single ended subwoofer output. Everything works as intended. No loading issues. Solid. I imagine I could still run a subwoofer off of either the balanced out or summed out and would have zero issues. Items in place: 2x Airmtoiv 6s Panamax MR5400pm Oppo 105 XSP Gen1 Rega Planar 1 plus 2x Schiit Vallhalla 2x Sennheiser HD650 (massdrop version) Blue Jeans interconnects Periapt Headphone cables DIY panels Sonos ZP90

Looks perfect! I can only imagine how great it all sounds. Congrats! I’m happy with it. It’s not an ideal room and there are some pitfalls, but it’s what I have to work with. I’ll most likely add a subwoofer down the line. My 2 year old twin girls are right across the hall, so I’m testing the waters with volume levels.

Looks great.. looks like you're running two preamps (the Schiit V.)? Using the XSP. I have two Schiit Valhalla’s. I have used two outputs to both of those so my wife and I can have quiet listening experiences at night or while we don’t want to disturb the kids. I’m actually contemplating selling the Oppo since I am really not using for anything. I don’t have a large SACD collection and since I added a Roku I’m not using hardly anything with the Oppo.

You definitely have a nice room to kick back and isolate yourself from the rest of the world. Maybe one day we will be fortunate enough to custom-build a home around our A/V systems! But you are right, in the meantime, we all have to make the best of what we have to work with. Looks great, Enjoy! The only thing missing is a deadbolt and a Do Not Disturb sign

Kids are gone for the night. Just listened to Adele 21 and dire straights self titled on vinyl. I gotta say, this system packs a punch. bless my sexy exposed nipples does it sound good!
It’s killing me that this setup needs a sub. The airmotiv 6s do have some very nice tight bass, but having been accustomed to fine subs over the past 6 years has me thinking. I think a PSA XS15 would fit the bill quite nicely. A subwoofer really takes the perception of stress off of the mids and highs. It’s not the deep gut punching bass they offer, it’s the relief they provide the speakers to do what they are supposed to do.
I also have to hand it to Emotiva. Anyone who hasn’t experienced the raw beauty of the airmotiv/stealth active powered line is really missing out. When are we getting Gen2? Soon I hope.
Transparent, clean, refined, spacious, accurate are some words that come to mind.
Isn’t it a wonderful thing to have awesome music? I pity people who think an iPhone and some earbuds are the path to their music.
Cheers, hope some others had a great night in their listening room.

Great looking room! My son and I like your choice of componnet self and end tables, mind letting us know where they were purchased? He's looking for furniture for his apartment.

Great listening room. I well understand what it's like to need to get some listen time in around kids nap schedules. Only 1 left in the napping stage and the other 3 enjoy good music with me.
Some week nights I alternate letting the kids pick out a disc they want to listen to. Sometimes it's Iron Maiden, other times it's Thelonius. Scott

Keeping the graham cracker crumbs cleaned up down there is a full time job. Haha

pop , unfortunately I could NOT give you a thumbs up on your original post! 😢 Do you realize that the worst way to store your LPs is the way they are in that picture? 😲 They should be on edge! Besides that faux pas your room looks inviting and comfortable! Enjoy!
