Hi guys,
I seem to be having issues with my XMC-1 (V3) to projector run. I'm currently using this (https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=21566) cable. Sometimes I get an image, but mostly I don't. I guess the run is about 30 ft. My projector is a Sony VPL-285ES, which is a 4k projector.
Any ideas?
(It seemed to work after one hard reset where I unplugged the XMC-1). But I can't seem to replicate the success or identify why it works when it does.

I use this cable with my Marantz after trying several different HDMI cables to give me full 4K HDR www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=14467

I wouldn't think that cable would be the problem, can you try the other HDMI input of the projector and/or the other HDMI output on the XMC-1.

XMC output doesnt seem to be an issue. I'm going to tru the other input on the projector. I would also think that if the cable works some of the time, if will work all of the time.

Another questions since you are running a Sony projector like I am. The Sony 285 (and my 385) can only handle 4K 24Hz, 4:4:4 HDR. So if you using say an apple TV at 60Hz 4K HDR 10 bit your projector will say something like frequency out of range. Just a thought.
