Greetings all! UMC-1 still humming along and working great -- recently I tried plugging it into a Dell workstation running Windows 10 via USB to see if the UMC-1 would work as a multichannel DAC. Nothing detected by the computer. Was this supported by the UMC-1 originally? Special drivers? Hooking it up via HDMI works, unfortunately with this path I'm limited to stereo only by the integrated video card's non-ASIO drivers. I saw this thread for the XMC-1: emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/43576/windows-usb-drivers-xmc-xda?page=1Figured it couldn't hurt to ask the group! If I upgraded to an XMC-2 for home theater, keeping the UMC-1 for Hauptwerk (https://www.hauptwerk.com/learn-more/overview/) on the computer would be great. Thanks, Stephen

The UMC-1 does not have a USB DAC option, the USB is for firmware updates only, HDMI would be your best option.
Both the XMC-1 and XMC-2 do have a built in USB DAC connection but for stereo use and not multichannel.

And by the way trying using the USB port of the UMC-1 with Windows 10 to flash the firmware update is a real headache and a PITA, I had just abandoned trying to give a second Life of my old UMC-1 still stuck in the opening process and refuses to work.
