Is there a comparison chart that shows the differences between the XMC-1 | XMC-2 | RMC-1L | RMC-1?

AudioHTIT - there's nothing in that thread that has a tabular comparison. From the emotiva.com website: RMC-1: 16 Channel 9.1.6 Discrete Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Reference Cinema Processor RMC-1L: 16 Channel 9.1.6 Discrete Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Reference Cinema Processor XMC-2: 16 Channel 9.1.6 Discrete Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Cinema Processor Nothing that shows how they differ other than the cost.

Thanks - I see it now. Very helpful.
According to that document, the systems appear to be almost identical, which I know they aren't. So what do we get for $2K more by going with an RMC-1 versus XMC-2?

Two OLED screens vs one And bragging rights.

All jokes aside the best "value" by far is the XMC-2 if you do not plan on going beyond 16 channels. I bought the RMC-1 mainly because the height of it is the same as my XPA amps that flank both sides of it (I thought the XMC-2/RMC-1L would look odd being shorter next to the amps). I had a 40% off card so my difference was "only" $1200. That was still a huge pill to swallow though.

Right, the one that says “ Processor Comparison Spreadsheet”, lots of discussion about the differences there too.

So I'll be getting the rmc-1L now instead, I like the shorter chassis and I'll NEVER go beyond it's speaker capacity.

The height thing is just my personal preference, and if my cabinet was a different configuration I most likely would have done the RMC-1L or the XMC-2. The expansion modules look neat for the RMC-1, but unless there is just something awesome offered for them I don't see myself upgrading as 7.4 is good for my room, and at most I may go 9.6.

Don’t forget the uber cool highend analog connectors on the back. RMC-1L also has these.
To my understanding there are 16 DACs in RMC-1 and RMC-1L running in mono mode, but only 10 in XMC-2. 4 running in mono mode (LCR+center sub) and 6 in stereo mode. Correct?

Correct? + the symmetrical layout of the nice flush understated front panel compared to the asymmetry of buttons and knob of the XMC2

Relatively close.... On the XMC-2, the DACs for the front three channels (left, right, center) are run in mono mode. The DAC on the sub output is also being run in regular stereo balanced mode.

RMC-1 if you plan to use the expansion RMC-1L if you want mono dac for each channel
I went with the 1L since I plan on running monoblocks on every channel as my final upgrade.

Wow, I get the love for mono locks, but 16 different mono block amps is pretty crazy. I can see of course the L/R speakers, and maybe the C, but beyond that I really struggle to see the benefit of monoblocks. Of course man if it makes you happy go for it!

I don’t run 16 channels and each sub has its own amplifier of course. At most 11. It’s about headroom mostly for the amps. Right now I will run the front three then use my xpa7 for the rest.
