Anyone been able to apply this to a XMC-2? I have placed the .dat file in the root of fat32 formatted USB stick and when I put it into the front USB port on my XMC-2 it shows "No Update FIle". What am I missing?
Thanks.

Mine recognized the update file right away but seems stuck at "Front Panel". Like 15 minutes stuck. Will give it a while longer.

After 45 minutes turned the unit off via rear panel rocker switch. Crossed fingers - the XMC-2 restarted; tried again and this time the update completed.

It does say Do Not Turn Off. I may have to hit the sack and see if it’s done anything by the time I wake up.

Had to rear rocker shut off and reload. That seems to have worked. Whew!

Be sure to call Emotiva to report the firmware update problems.

What am I missing? Thanks. Had some time last night to look at this closer. I powered off the unit via the switch on the back and after powering it back on I was able to insert the same usb stick in and do the upgrade.

Loaded 1.7. No problem with loading.
Unit now randomly fails to boot.
Now drops audio and locks up while watching dvr.
RMC-1

Video on Standby no longer works after 1.7 on my XMC-2. Video is there, but no audio. I have to have the unit full on to get sound. Normally that would not be a problem, but my wife likes to watch at times without turning surround sound on.
I’ll be calling Monday.
Update: I called and explained the issue. I was told to replace the 1.7 firmware with the earlier 1.5 firmware to see if the issue can be fixed. I won't be able to do this for a few more hours.
I'm not sure what that means in terms of final resolution, but one step at a time.
