Got my XMC-2 upgrade Wednesday evening. I am happy to say sounds glorious even without room correction and operates correctly except for a FW update glitch and a problem that I was also having with the XMC-1. The PS4 Pro and the XMC's do not seem to like each other.
When plugged into the processor on a HDMI 2.0 input the PS4 Pro will not produce any sound and will not recognize any resolution other than 1080p as supported. The only way to access the PS4 Pro audio is to change the input to HDMI 1.4. It will also not recognize the TV as HDR capable. DirecTV passes 2160p with HLG perfectly. The PS4 Pro recognizes 2160p and HDR when plugged directly into the TV.
I've worked around it by plugging the PS4 Pro into the TV and getting the audio with the optical out. It's not a dealbreaker but it is mildly annoying to not be able to use the switching in the processor.
Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Do you have dual HDMI out cables connected between the XMC and your TV? And is one of those cables connected to a non-4k/HDR compatible input on the TV?

Do you have dual HDMI out cables connected between the XMC and your TV? And is one of those cables connected to a non-4k/HDR compatible input on the TV? No. The glitch happens when the PS4 is connected to HDMI on the XMC which in turn is connected to the HDMI 1 input on the TV (the only input that supports 4k and HDR), and only when the XMC input is set to HDMI 2.0. The unit initially (right after the V3 board upgrade) recognized the TV resolutions and HDR perfectly - this behavior started after a firmware update (for the life of me don't know which, just that it was after the V3 board upgrade) and it has persisted on the XMC-2. Again, the XMC passes 4k/HDR perfectly to the same TV input from the DirecTV Genie. Right now the workaround is HDMI out from the PS4 to HDMI 5 input on the TV (the input does 4k but no HDR) and I get the sound from optical out on the TV. If it's the XMC or if it's some kind of setting on the PS4 I'd love to know. If it's a defect in the PS4 I'm not even close to being sufficiently put off to replace it.

Just checking as my Xbox One X had an issue with any receiver I owned that if the receiver was hooked up to both a 4k/HDR compliant input on my TV and a non-4k/HDR compliant input, the Xbox would not output full 4k/HDR signals despite being assigned to the 4k/HDR input on the TV and in the receiver input menu.

You should send an eMail describing what’s going on, and what troubleshooting you’ve done, that should get a response from someone trying to duplicate your issue (or that it’s ‘on the list’). I’ve had good luck with sales@emotiva.com, if you don’t get a response give a call.
