The sherbourn. If I'm not mistaken that's an XPA-5 gen 1.

Sherbourn if its the right price. I don’t believe its an equivalent XPA-5, I had that amp and don’t believe that was its designation garbulkySt. Nick 🎅

Sherbourn was an independent company until Emotiva bought them. Some of their designs were ported over from Rotel, then Emotiva at the end. The 5/1500 dates back to 2002 (Pre-Emotiva) Reviews I've found say that it has deeper tighter bass than the (then) comparable Rotel, and they liked it more than the ATIs.

Was it an older MPS design? Oh I think it is! It's got individual torrid for each channel!! Sherbourn 5/1500 Basx A-5175

I have the Sherbourn 7/2100 which is think is related to the 5/1500.
If so, I say go with the Sherbourn - they are like mini monoblocks.
Welcome to the monoblock society 😬😉.
