Purchased from Amazon and was able to use about $50 of Amazon Rewards points.
Now, I need to go to Ikea tomorrow and get a new TV stand. Ours worked for a 42" TV...not for a 65".

It is truly a buyers time for TVs. TCL is not the top seller on Amazon for nothing. For the money it does as promised. Allot of budget sets have stepped up to the plate and delivering good results. See rtings.com for more on the test data and more. They have no agenda with any company, and their tests are comprehensive. TCL usually does well in their tests given its budget constraints. I am looking for one in my bedroom. I have a Sony and love it too much to change it for nothing. My bedroom a Hisense or TCL is more than fine. My old manager used a 55 inch I believe for our projects at work. Worked great that TCL.

I had never heard of them and was expecting a mediocre product based on the price. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally saw his TV. It was remarkably good and super cheap.

TCL is really making a name for themselves, I went with a 50" Vizio V-series for my daughter for Christmas. What a great TV for $238.

The TCL's are indeed very good and are an amazing value. I was sold on them until I saw them side-by-side with a Vizio and the LG I ended up with. The TCL was not slouch at all but the LG won me over. Was it worth the extra $150 (65" v. 65" cost)? Maybe not.

I'm enjoying watching the package tracking...I'm able to see where the truck actually is in real time. It was particularly exciting to see the truck's path heading east on the nearest main road to my house...until it turned north and ran up the Indiana/Ohio state line for another delivery, then veered east about 15 miles away from me to deliver a few more. At least now, it's coming back south and showing it's "2 stops away". Of course, I just happened to think...there's a road closed sign at the end of my road, but the road is open to my house. I hope they ignore that sign!

It has arrived! The tracking system is pretty cool. I was able to see the truck location approaching my street, and I drove down the street to meet them...because I forgot there are road closed signs from the direction they were coming. If they had followed the detour, they might have given up for the day. But, luckily even if I had not, the driver saw the last minute (30 minutes prior to arrival) special instruction I'd added to ignore the detour signs!
I was worried about ordering from Amazon and what the delivery people might do. But, they arrived in a Ryder truck, the TV was securely fastened to the side with the proper side up, and the 2 guys in the truck gently unfastened it and brought it where I wanted it. Very nice!
My son and I unpacked it, and it's sitting on our new stand. I'm letting it get to room temp before I hook it up, though. It's 32 degrees outside, and while the TV doesn't feel that cold - better safe than sorry.

It is now at room temp and up and running. The picture is great, and I really like how on the "Live TV" input it brings in my digital antenna plus things it finds on the internet. The "Magic Remote" works well when sitting down, but don't try to stand up and use it! That seems to throw off its aim. But, I do like how it automatically figured out how to control my Roku device via the LG Remote, and the TV also recognized my Sony BluRay player for what it is and re-labelled HDMI inputs automatically to reflect the Roku Ultra and the Sony Blu Ray. I started off with a Netflix run of Raiders of the Lost Ark and I saw enough to know I made the right call on color contrast and lack of motion blur. From the image below, you can see that at 4 PM this time of year, a lot of light comes in from behind the TV. Earlier in the day from ~noon to 3, light will come from behind the seating location and hit the screen. When I said the room is "bright", that's the time of day that will be the worst. Luckily, I don't watch much that time of day. Mark

PS - and yes...that's the "bumble" from Rudolph out on my deck. Don't worry - no teeth.

I am really liking this TV. Very good picture, and considering my awful vision...it's surprising I can tell.

I've been watching some movies on Disney+ including Avatar and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and the image quality is great. And, I'm reminded of how funny GOG is!
