If you are using Dirac Live on the XMC-1 then I would recommend simply using 24 bit 48KHz output from the PC as this is the only resolution the XMC-1 Dirac filters work at. All other resolutions will be up / down-converted to 24 bit 48KHz for Dirac filter implementation so if you use a Dirac profile, you may as well simplify things and let the PC output at 48KHz Awesome - I changed it to the 24 bit 48KHz. Just out of curiosity, for my turntable I have it set to stereo, not direct, and to Dirac. Does the XMC-1 then convert that analog signal to digital to process the Dirac filters? Whatever its doing is working - sounds fantastic! When listening to vinyl I set that input for Reference 2ch as I feel it best suits the playback method pure analog no processing of any kind Cheers, chad

Awesome - I changed it to the 24 bit 48KHz. Just out of curiosity, for my turntable I have it set to stereo, not direct, and to Dirac. Does the XMC-1 then convert that analog signal to digital to process the Dirac filters? Whatever its doing is working - sounds fantastic! Yes. Even analog signals, if they are set to receive any kind of EQ, will be converted to digital at 24/48 for manipulation. I'm sure that Emotiva made sure that the XMC-1's digital filters, sound especially good at that setting. Interestingly, I am philosophically opposed to EQ, even in the digital realm. My "room correction" is done with absorbers, diffusers, and bass traps. My one analog source is sent through the analog volume section in the "Reference Stereo" mode. All of the rest of my sources are digital. Surround of course is set to "Auto" surround. Two channel digital I leave in "Direct Mode". Unless I'm playing a CD on the Blu-ray player, all the rest of my digital content comes from my "Home Theater PC" via HDMI. I've tried most all of the output setting with various HD streaming sources. Specifically Tidal and Amazon HD. FOR MY SYSTEM, the PC output setting that renders the best balanced tone (least amount of treble harshness along with an amazing amount of bass texture) is 24/192. I feel that the way Emotiva has tuned the filters at this setting brings out the best IN MY SYSTEM, FOR MY SETTINGS.

The Netflix app is on Windows! It is in the Windows app store. I run it and 5.1 audio is a definite working option Got the Netflix app and its so much better then running Netflix on a Chrome browser. The app outputs 5.1 sound. I hooked up the new Roku Ultra 4K to my 82" Samsung 4K TV and wow! Sound is a little better or about the same as the Netflix app but the video is a very noticeable improvement. My wife didn't know I added the Roku and the first time she saw the picture she said "holy crap that is an amazing picture". I am now using the Roku Ultra for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney + and Pandora on my mail living room system with the XMC-1. On our basement 7.1 system with a MC-700 we have been using a PC for streaming services and have the Netflix app installed. We have a PS4 on that system and I will try using that for streaming services.
