Got some new tape sealed for the Nak, and 2 new to me Teac's. CX-210 and 310. I may take the 310 to work as a sculpture for the old vintage fun times. New tape Some used lying around from the KD-85 JVC get. Ebay cheapie Another. Added note the used old stock tape is wasted. No highs at all. The new one is indistinguishable from the original recording.

Never had a dual cassette deck before ever. Now that is no longer true. The Teac adventure is over. One is in my bedroom playing now the other is a sculpture art for my new desk at work. Yeah you know a circuit board and transport make a great ice breaker in the conversation land. Bonus shot of the Teac now playing in my bedroom. It still has issues, the guy on Ebay lied it was in great working condition. Luckily I had a belt kit. Physic I am or something. Yeah, I like that.

What is interesting is the amount of electronics in say a 1970s unit vs a 1980. The later made pieces have lots of empty space inside the box and the older ones are crammed with all sorts of electronics.

Yeah but the difference is that lying is irrespective of decade, and timeless. He said working great. The empty space is called I.C.s and Op Amps vs. discrete and so on. Also the spaghetti mess of wires had to go. Almost impossible to work on these things sometimes. Some Pioneers were real bad there. Tandbergs too especially their reel to reels. The 10XD and so on. So I say yes to the better efficient layout. I have to go in there sometime, and I would like not to deal with all of that.

I just added two SVS SB-3000 to my system, WOW I couldn't be happier. WOW is right! You have a very, very fine system there! The original Emotiva Reference Speakers are IMO one of the best buys ever in audio. I have the smaller model of the Reference speakers but they still take tons of 4 ohm power (I too have the great XPA-5, 75lb powerhouse amp). Great choice in the SVS sealed SB-3000! Nice to see an old familiar name back at the Lounge. Welcome home frenchyfranky.

Karcher is the top name in pressure washers For the money Karcher is hard to beat and comes with a 3 year basically no questions asked replacement warranty, but my top choice would be the Kranzle K1122TST due to it's higher water flow and build quality; however, at $1,199 it's cost prohibitive for my car washing / detailing needs.
