My latest purchase: This house appraised above $400K in 2007. I bought it for less than $100K. With real estate prices so low I couldn't resist. I'll hang on to it until the market recovers and then see if I can flip it. Nice. That's one giant cactus! I see it has a eagle on the garage. So does my house and I remember my grandparent's house had one too. Does anyone know if there is a meaning behind that? I searched for it once and all I could come up with is that some people believe that it signifies that your house is paid for but that was about all I could find. If that's the case I should take mine down and store it for about 20 more years.

I don't think it has any special meaning other than the eagle being both a patriotic and freedom symbol as well as a beautiful bird.

The housing market in the states is freaking crazy! Here in Winnipeg, it goes up 10% every year but in certain areas, it can go up 20-40%. My place that we bought 2 years ago was 330K and it was just appraised for over 400K a week ago. I had friends who bought a 2000sf place 2 years ago for 450K and it just so for 650K. It's nuts, there are crazy bidding wars for houses. Some will go for 50-100K over asking prices! We had to pay 20K more than asking price to get ours. There just arn't enough places here right now. I have a friend who has a custom home business and he's booked for the next 8 years straight. Thats how nuts it is.

2011 GMC Serria 4x4 sle. We had one come into the shop with these rims and it looked soooooooooo good. Everyone was drooling over it. It only can out to $3K for everything so it's not even too bad!

What size rims? That isn't too bad of a price. I have a 2011 Chevy and got some new rims and tires from the Chevy accessory catalog and were close to that price. I worked them in as part of the deal. I had a heck of a time finding anything close to them in the aftermarket world. Most rims were too wide.

A friend of mine is a pretty good photographer. I gave him some money to shoot a few pics of my car. Here is the first one he finished processing: ( I added the cheesy poster border)

That is a great pic! Now you need to get one while doing a huge burnout with smoke everywhere.

We did some detail shots and full body shots only. We ran out of light and will be shooting again soon.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part. Ouch!
The last set of Michelins I put on my bike cost over 400 bucks. For a 120/70ZR-17 and a 190/55ZR-17. That's not much rubber between those two tires lol. Rubber ain't cheap anymore.

Yup......a set of tires is ~$1600 for my car. At least the new Super Sports are said to last longer than PS2's.
